How do I paint an abstract acrylic painting, using the squeegee technique, on a small canvas? What is the squeegee technique? The video shows the abstract squeegee technique or squeegee technique inspired by works by Gerhard Richter: On a smaller canvas, 50 x 50 cm, I show you how to use a squeegee tool, you can paint beautiful abstract pictures with acrylic paint that look as if Gerhard Richter had painted them with his famous squeegee technique. He uses squeegee tools that he made himself, but you can get great results in abstract acrylic painting with this smoothing spatula. The larger the canvas, the more beautiful the squeegee technique is. Since I was asked if I could show how the squeegee technique works on a smaller canvas, I wanted to try it out for you. I work on the canvas on my work table and have a standard smoothing spatula in my hand. You can also hang the canvas on the wall or place it on an easel. The more acrylic paint that is put on the canvas, the more difficult it is to push or pull the squeegee tool. Have fun with my video about the squeegee technique with acrylic paints! A wonderful abstract acrylic painting was created, which I like very much.
