@ingenhk The paint job looks so smooth. The cockpit with the led looks great. Very cool that you are thinking about lighting up the head. I'm also working on leds for mastergrades.

The white on them are Gundam color white(5). I used Mr. color #181 and Gaia #30 to seal it. I think it's mostly the light source that is affecting the white color on yours, a clear coat serves very little as a protection.

There are rivets on the knees,elbows,chest. and exposed mechanical on the chest and shoulders, like that.

@ingenhk no it takes about 3 to six months before it starts to happen. its a testors brand enamel clear gloss coat out of the spray can. i can barely find it except on the internet. it totally ruins white tho.

@ingenhk i will try the control test out with the gloss coat with the different whites. i will also try out mr color semi gloss clear on a control test as well just to see what happens.

NO I NEED RESULTS LIKE THAT! lol thanks man you have been a big help. you dont know how much stress you just saved me in the future. now i wont have to re buy kits after i put a nice paint job on them. i have quite a few that look amberish cuz of the testors clear gloss coat.

@ingenhk no trust me it s the clear gloss. it yellows it if there is over spray and it also has a discrepency on the label i failed to read before i used it. it cautions toward the ambering effect. who makes the gundam color? also another stupid question, is the mr color by gunze sangyo?

Maybe you should do a control test on this. Get a few piece of junks and spray them with different type of paints, put them on the same place and wait for a result.

@ingenhk i have tried several different types of paint. tamiya and testors flat acrylic whites. both came out amberish and yellow after a few months. so i am pretty sure its not the paint. how does your exs and rx 78 look till now from the mr color? if anything i will just switch brands of clear coat and use what you have been using on yours. your models white look great. my current project is the pg strike and i dont want the same thing to happen to it. i have put way to much work in it.

both gundam color and mr. color are produced by gunze sangyo. You mean it turn yellow like right away? I've never experience that.

The action base has light. Usually those are the ones on the perfect Grade 00-Raiser. But where did you get those for a Master Grade?
