if you're going to go through all that effort to dig out drainage and put those plastic cube structures down, why wouldn't you connect it to cisterns or pipe it to gray water pipes for use in irrigation or refiltration?
@PWingert19664 ай бұрын
This might make sense on larger stretches like roadways through low-lying flood plains to keep the water off the surface until the road can be safely closed. It would require permeable paving material as well to allow the water to flow down through the system. Here in Toronto areas like the Don Valley Parkey could be good Candidates as they have recently had several feet of water fil the area and flood motorists while they are transiting through the area during the storm.

most of the spikes are actually designed for keeping pigeons off. Weve had them on out building since 2005.

The plastic water barrier isn't just more durable; it takes less time to set up than waiting for the water to fill the other one.

Agreed the roof cover, it would be gone in the first real wind, which happens alone or with rain, etc.

The most useful thing is the swiming pool fire fighting system; as when a fire covers a large area; the combination of firefighters and homeowners tapping into the local water supply can cause the pressure to drop. As long as this pump system has power; you are good to go.
@PWingert19664 ай бұрын
The roof idea is incredibly stupid. You would have to know that hail is on its way and have at least an hour or two to deploy the system. You also need to allocate time to retract and remove the system. A crew of four to six people and a supervisor are required as well. Other than hail I see no value in this for another type of incident. tornadoes, forest fires and hurricanes are not suitable environments for this product either. It's also UGLY!

Exactly maybe if there was a hole in the roof but moderate winds would just pull off those supports with little effort and now you have more damage and a bigger mess

New products are amazing, but difficult or impossible to recycle. Sand, gravel, concrete, steel, aluminum, wood and glass are the best resources we've got. EVERTHING goes to shit (landfill) at some point.

Hey, let’s not build on stone but on sand… But if it’s too close to the coast, let’s fill our bodies with micro plastics to divert groundwater because some people that caused their own problems deserve to be protected more. I’ll give you it’s clever and effective, but FFS. By all means let’s focus on the way people can keep massive mansions on a Damocles sword. How many tens of thousands will be much like the Doggerland people? Well when they come for many parts of the central south, they might have to head toward the hills and the rich people are not going to like what they find when real people find a way 😅😂😂😂
