He is a nice guy. But if you work for him, he's brutal. If you're feeling sick in a scene and you vomit. He tells you to keep acting and uses it as part of the script. If he doesn't think you look "Real" enough when being strangled, he will strangle you for real, If you hurt yourself severely, he will keep filming and become upset if you break character. If you don't see his vision when it comes to his movies, he becomes enraged. I love Tarantino, but nah dude, he's not chill to work with, lol. Maybe to hang with or talk to, but not to work with.
@michaelyoung52376 жыл бұрын
lol please guys explain why pls
@1337bG016 жыл бұрын
@@michaelyoung5237 In the scene where Colonel Hans Landa strangles Bridget Von Hammersmark, Tarantino was not convinced that Christopher Waltz's could adequately make the performance and instead, insisted he would choke her (Diane Kruger) himself. The scenes where you see only her face, with hands wrapped around her throat, are Tarantino's own hands, and the scene was shot multiple times before he was satisfied. Tarantino said regarding the scene, and I quote, "‘I’m going to cut off your air, for just a little bit of time, we’re going to see the reaction in your face, and then we’ll cut, okay?" Similarly, in Kill Bill, he required Uma Thurman to drive a car deemed unsafe by the stunt crew, which ultimately crashed into a tree, resulting in permanent injuries despite her concern about the car before shooting the scene. In other scenes, he also insisted on spitting in her face, and choking her with a chain, during scenes when professional stuntman would typically be used. However, both actresses have defended Tarantino, who openly discusses said topics, handed raw footage to both actresses for distribution, and stated that he never endangered them or made them uncomfortable. So I guess the whole thing is up for debate really - from the outside, it appears he may be a bit of a sadist, but that's between him and the talent, who may have kept silent due to the massive success of their respective roles.
@DizKord16006 жыл бұрын
I don't think there's anything malicious about Tarantino. I think he just REALLY wants his movies to be as perfect as possible, in a way that most people can't understand. He's an artist, and an artist will do crazy things to craft their vision.

Some movie terminology for those who are interested. Tarantino says “check the gate” a handful of times which is actually an interesting phrase with multiple meanings through history. In modern films shot on digital sensors, “check the gate” means the director wants to see playback of a scene to ensure they like the take. But Tarantino in this context isn’t shooting with a digital camera he’s shooting on film. You can’t watch playback on film it needs to be developed first. In the days of film photography after a setup is completed the director (or 1st AD) would call for the gate to be checked. A camera assistant would then carefully remove the lens and check the inside of the camera for buildup of any film emulsion or hair or whatnot to make sure it’s all clean. If the gate isn’t clean, then there’s a chance it might have had an effect on the film. So they clean it and the director goes again. But the general sentiment behind the phrase is that the director is happy with the take and is ready to move on Another small thing is after Tarantino says cut, the 1st AD will repeat “cut” into a microphone and you can hear it being echoed by PAs. This is basically so everyone within the radius of the production is aware that they have cut. What isn’t shown is the inverse, when a director is about to go for a take, the 1st AD calls to “lock it up” meaning PAs basically become security guards for the set. Shushing people, making sure nobody walks into where they aren’t supposed to, that kinda thing. This happens until the 1st AD radios “cut”
@FixedHDD3 жыл бұрын
There is a lot of choreographed and minimalistic communication going on between the positions on a film set that is, because of the minimalistic nature, often overheard or disregarded by onlookers yet incredibly important for the set. However, regarding the technical aspect, digital image capture is happening alongside the analog image capture. The rotating shutter is itself a mirror and thus, every time the shutter is closed to pull along the material, a digital image sensor is exposed allowing for dailies to be created at point of action and instant playback.

A blue or green screen is mainly used for keying in computer generated imagery and artificial backgrounds. A white screen is something completely different, it is used to balance light and distribute it equally to make the film look better and more evenly lit
@dawsonboyle998 жыл бұрын
Zaber Ansary that's a diffusion frame and it basically adds diffusion to the light source
