First skate was the worst break in I've ever had with a skate, could barely move and the pain was crazy, second skate was an absolute dream. I love them

Tried that recently, but even the shop assistant said it was not for me. For my fit 3 feet, KONEKT was a sort of 'Spanish boot', hardly possible to put on. Would be fine if Bauer uses the grilamid shell for their laced skates (with different fits), to avoid cracking/separation of the toe...

My son has them and absolutely LOVES them! He said they’re the most comfortable skates he’s ever had. The ankle flex is his favorite part.

I started to use them for the first time I was doing camp and had to do RVH drills they made it so my hips weren’t hurting and I felt amazing

I returned them. (this comment is more for people who buy online) While I'm sure it fits a broader range of players/feet, if you do have a wider foot and high foot arches, it can be quite painful and I wasn't ready to commit/mold even if they say it gets a lot better. A few things I noticed compared to the top range skates: 1. The plastic seems of a much lesser quality than the originals. I wondered how getting shots of your toe area would feel like. 2. The liner feels really cheap. It has some moldable "patches" in the ankle area and maybe in one more location. But none of the high quality stuff from Bauer's top end skates 3. There is a weird plastic extension from the boot material above the ankle. Sure the liner extends there but it makes me wonder if that can, over repetitive action, start tearing into the liner. 4. One positive, the bottom buckle does seem more durable/better designed than the original one. 5.In the video they do mention you can swap liners, which is awesome but they are expensive. These skates don't come to my knowledge in half sizes so you can't swap for the next size up or down for liners that fit. My conclusion is that while it's at a lower price point, it's still quite expensive and if it doesn't fit you right (perfectly should come with molding), there are better options for considerably less money/

Using Konekt for a year, not as comfy as my true one piece but i can confirm my hips like it and that's priceless

Can you do a video or post documentation showing how you use the screw to reduce some of the flexion? I spoke to several reps at Bauer and they said that putting a screw in to reduce flexion is not true at all? I have a pair and I am not seeing how a screw would stop the flexion based on where the hole is located.

They look goofy, but I snowboard and short ski so I don't mind the look, and who cares once you put the pads on. I'm happy these came out because I fit into intermediate skates and after two hip surgeries these do feel pretty good on my hips in butterfly. I am still adjusting to the skate itself as I only used it 2-3 times. No way I could skate in those without the top buckle. I keep the foot on the 2nd-3rd notch and crank down the ankle.

I simple dont use the top lace holes on my current true's which allows for great ankle flexibility. Anyone out there compare konects vs skipping top lace on true's ?

Not that we are aware of but that's an option for sure. The Konekts let you feel locked in at the ankle yes still having that mobility so I imagine it would be a bit different

I loosen the bottom buckle all the way, and latch it just so it doesn't fall off..

Seriously Bauer, wth? 4 buckles are loose, press fit doesn't work, what will happen in 5 yrs? I can if I want, wiggle it right off, new ones. As good as your sticks.

@@thebignewfieYup. That’s exactly why I’m thinking about gettin ’em. I want tight ankles and loose feet. Tried a bunch of funky tying systems but always end up in tight-foot pain or stumbling around in loose skates. There’s a reason even $1K skates aren’t comfy… Laces.

They had this technology in really old skate i saw in a beer league one time. They are flawed design .. simply not build to last.

LANGE! We had a set and miss them a lot. These of course with the custom fit are a big stride forward. Why do you say not built to last?
