customers wants competition to bring down costs and improve quality- goa miles is by far more competitive than local taxi operators-nearly 60 percent of fares that are charged by local taxi are charged by goa miles- goa needs a few more on line taxi operators to compete and bring down the costs and improve quality. it is time to bite the bullet, as ordinary goans will abandon private cars when costs come down for day to day trips, roads will be free, parking available in abundance.

The BJP government is only supporting Goa Miles and other taxi aggregators whose drivers are majority migrants. Goa is a small State and instead of promoting our local taxis they are promoting outsiders. What about the hotels. Apparently in Mumbai for example, rates of hotels for Ambani's son's wedding have increased ten fold or more. Why isn't the same yard stick applied to the star hotels ? Our Goan Taxi drivers have been forced to come out on the streets time & time again to protect their business yet they too shamelessly vote for the same rogues who trouble them.

The govt oves it to the local people to provide gainful employment to live a life of dignity. It is the locals who have made sacrifices. Competition should be for service and efficiency, not just for low prices. Nobody wants to work for low wages, so we shouldn't tell others to. Not a right mentality towards our fellow Goans. Priority should be for locals

Government should immediately enquire whether operator's are self driving or hiring Driver's for multiple vehicle's. Owners of multiple vehicle's should be penalized and asked to apply for Travels n Tours licenses and their vehicle's should be confisticated. Taxi operation is made for uplifting the poor section people of the Society. People are becoming shameless and depriving the revenue of the government. Goa miles is VERY REASONABLE and don't reject customers. Private operator's use muscle rules in the name of being LOCALS and are mostly DRUNK. SOME ARE REALLY POLITE AND COURTEOUS. In general the reality is different.
