The conspiracy is that they are hiding what you really are XM is code for consciousness. You are consciousness, awareness. Not your ego. Ok, is this a cover for homeland security/gangstalking? Because some of the information is accurate, like the parts about energy in certain places. On the other hand it seems like it wants users to go to these places, for them in there setting. They could be using the places of energy and you being there for their own purposes beyond the game. This could be a data harvesting/ dark magic/ Orwellian nightmare disguised as a game. A woman who I once dated (Liesa Scott) had a jailbroken phone, when you added a file explorer app to the jailbroken phone you could see the hidden files in games. Let me give it to you straight, there's a shit load of hidden features/files in apps. Prime is a soft reset on the story as well. The background stays the same, but it's essentially a new Ingress universe. Edit: as a result, we also get different actors for the characters. Interestingly enough, the anime, which takes place in the Prime universe, uses a lot of the old actors for character designs, mainly Hank Johnson.
