i'm about to graduate high school and i can't stop thinking about the influence ingrid michaelson has had on me through my teenage years. she was the first artist i discovered on my own and whose music i bought with my own money and things like that. it's because of her music that i discovered all the other music i like and decided to learn to play ukulele and guitar, and to write songs. and this song in particular moved me so much. i'm so grateful for her.
