Inishtrahull Island

History of Inishtrahull Island off the Northern coat of Ireland. Inishtrahull is an island about one mile long lying six miles north of Malin Head. Inishtrahull Lighthouse is the most northerly Irish lighthouse. Featuring Sean Beatty, Willie Bonner, John (Philip) Doherty (Liza) and others. Filmed around 2007.

It saddens me to see islands no longer inhabited even though I realize living conditions may have been hard. There is such a rugged beauty about them. Thank you for posting .A jem.❤

Glad you enjoyed Nicholas. My Dad - John Doherty (Liza) was interviewed for it and we think it was around 2007. I understand all or most of the houses on the island have been torn or fallen down since then.
