This is brilliant! About a month ago I made an "Idea" book. I made a cover and filled it with scrapbook paper that I'm not fond of. I've been having difficulty getting started putting things into it and this is just the thing I need. I am so excited to get started now!! Thank you!!

Hallo Tracie. I also have a example journal. I have everything in it. It took me 3 months to create the book. It truly look like a big fat crocodile. I have all types of handmade embellishments in it. When I see something on KZbin or Pinterest that I like I make it and put it in my example journal. When I create a journal it is easy then to decide what I want to do. My binding is with rings so that I can put more pages in lol.

I love this! I've been working on making mine and today I decided to add stitching. Mind you that I NEVER stitch on paper, much less on corrugated cardboard covered front and back with double-sided cardstock. I had already added the cording, so I realized I needed to go inside the area. I think that was all the thinking I did! LOL! I started by stitching on the front, which is always a dubious practice! MESSY! After I got that finished, I added the pages I had made from some Amazon filler paper. I had to cut off some of the height because I was going by the height of the covers, not the distance between eyelets. Lots of learning experiences here! I will be adding elastic to keep it closed. I normally make a separate spine and covers and this folded cover will not stay shut! Thanks for the idea!

I made an idea book last year ( my first journal) which I tried to make into a finished journal. After terminal gator mouth, I've given up on it and put it in "lessons learned". Lol! I want to try this idea and make a separate journal to journal in. Lol. This is a great idea.
