Initial setup of the new SeaDoo 2022 Fish Pro Trophy. IDF still an issue.

This is about the new 2022 SeaDoo Fish Pro Trophy. I will go through the initial setup of the ski and show some features, install a few components, put the SeaDoo cover on and go over an issue with the IDF system.

The other live wells that I have seen set up have the supply line connected on the same side as the hose connection (left side). Just an FYI. I love the setup. I cannot wait until I get mine. Congrats! Have fun.

Yo love that you are close and share ideas if you don't mind I love to share some experience fishing the Texas gulf with the trophy 4 years now.the first thing I did was put jet ski collars on after flipping 17 miles out of padre island oil rigs

The other thing you will find out is the galleys fill up with water .yes you can kick it out on take off the problem is its fills when still fishinf

Hello and thank you for watching. When I turn my ski off I leave the kill switch connected but disconnect it from my life preserver. I have not had to switch to an accessory mode to keep the sonar on, it will remain on for about an hour I believe. However, if I remove the kill switch everything will shut off in about 30 seconds, if that long. Hope this helps Jeff

Just wondering what to do if a person decides to run the cooler as a livewell for a fishing trip. What do you do with ur catches in the mean time? I see how u could put ur catches in the cooler after u run out of live bait but with no ice would you just put ur catches in the livewell after u catch it?

I have a fish bag which is insulated and will hold a good amount of fish. I will use a bungee cord to secure it to the front of the cooler. I will include it in an upcoming video so you can see how I do it. I will also add a link to where I purchased it. I would like to say I have had a lot of fish in it but not at this time. Hopefully soon I will be able to test the capacity. Thank you for watching and commenting.

Nice in-depth video. I ordered one last year and waiting to hear about its arrival. Keeping my fingers crossed there isn’t a supply chain issue. I heard the chip shortage is delaying the dashboard assembly. Hopefully, the IDF software is fixed before I take delivery. Happy Fishing!

@@Mr-ts8il Bummer! I went to the dealership and he said the same. All are arriving without electronics and they have to put it in, whenever it arrives. Plus, there is a staff shortage. He prepared me for a 3mo delay, but to think the worse, which is October. Hope you get on the water soon.

I tested the IDF on my 2021 GTX several times last summer on the water as a precaution and its good. Surprised to hear there are still problems....

Any Trophy that was delivered without the chip/parts will have this issue. The dealership just needs to call BRP and they will walk them through the steps to fix it. I got my Trophy around the end of January and was the first in my area. The IDF wasn’t showing up as an option on my ski. Couple days later BRP walked them through how to fix it. No issues since. It’s a programming/flash thing, not really an issue with IDF

I took it out this afternoon and it worked ok. I did notice the speed control functions are not working but I am hoping that will work once the IDF software update is installed. Still waiting on that.

FYI, I got my Trophy in January, first one in the FL panhandle. The only issue I had was the software needed to be updated. Not really an issue with IDF, it’s not mechanical at all. Haven’t had any issues with the ski, and honestly haven’t heard of any with anyone else.

Hello and thanks for watching. No, they are not legal here either. Before I purchased the ski and the one thing I did not research was which PFD to get. I purchased the low profile before doing any research and I S’d the P big time. I took it back about a week later and purchased a new Seadoo PFD.

Thank you for watching the videos. Out the door it was around $22,500 but I also bought a few extras such as 2 extra rod holders, cooler extension (which I am still waiting on) and a cover. The trailer I purchased separately for $1600, it is all aluminum.

Bloody IDF , still problematic ? May be a good idea to contact other dealers , Australia , New Zealand and see if they have a solution ?

The dealer I bought it from contacted me about the IDF a couple of days later, they had contacted IBR about the issue and it appears to be a known problem. They are working on a software fix and hopefully they will have it done soon.

What exactly is the issue? The Ski needed to be flashed correctly but once they did it mine hasn’t had any issues. Curious if that is the same issue you had?

Just an FYI you're supposed to plug your phone in to your jet ski when you're setting it up I did found that out. I'm surprised you're dealership didn't throw anything in free like the cover I'm gonna have my dealership throw in the cover for free....
