If anyone is having the issue of not being able to get his on screen overlay and you keep getting some weird Steam Controller set up yry this: Steam settings > remote play > Advanced Client Options > make sure "Enable Touch Controls" is UNchecked. This worked for me and i got the same layout as he did fully customizable. Not sure if any other specific settings need to be tweaked but this solved the issue for me. Good luck!

Able to play via phone or ipad, but limited controls. D-pad, YXAB buttons and menu stuff, but the mouse circles like you show in the video are greyed out in controller layout. What are your settings for the controls if you don't mind me asking? Thanks

JIC anyone was still wondering how to get your PS5 and maybe 4 and other controllers working, start steam link on your device and start streaming, then make sure you exit Steam Big Picture so that you are only using the normal Steam desktop, you should still be streaming so don't worry about it closing, then just run FFXIV and it should be working when loaded up, I just spent that last couple of hours trying to figure it out and this worked for me and I hope it works for you guys as well =)

Would I have to connect the controller to final fantasy first how would all that work? sometimes I can’t be on the pc at all times so wanna try this if it works will controller ik final fantasy has native controller support but will it work through steamlink

BRO, htf do you get controls to work? I’m driving myself mad trying to get it working for the past 2 days. I’ve tried using touch controls, connecting a PS4 controller to my phone via Bluetooth, dug around every corner of the settings, changed to controller mode, scoured the internet far and wide, but the remote play app seems insistent on using touch and keyboard, I can’t even get the xyba scheme to show, all I see is up down left right, space enter pg up pg down. I will love you forever if you can help me out with this :(

tried moonlight and I couldn't do anything else beside zooming , changing camera views and clicking here and there lol the built-in controller doesn't even worked Hope this one works OTL Edit: wait, I just forgot to choose the god-damned "Enable gamepad" in system configuration... Why doesn't the game just enable my gamepad when I switched from "mouse mode" to "gamepad mode" smh

What if you want to play using a Bluetooth controller? Mine isn't detected by the game itself, but it works fine in the Steam Link UI

I tried this the other day. Although I can get in-game with no problems, it won't work with my controller. It works fine with other games via stream link, just not FFXIV. I don't know why.

Do you use MnK normally? One thing I was reading says to make sure you change the input type in the game settings to controller instead of MnK. Hopefully this helps!

@@redoc2358 no, the weirdest thing is I play with controller. I always use a controller for playing FFXIV on the PC so that option is already turned on. It just won't work with the controller I connect to my phone

this is amazing i have a few issues though, I cant actually type my password in using the link, I have to type it in on my PC, this means I would have to stay logged in and also do you have to be on the same network all the time? i was hoping to use this to craft and do dailies when I am staying away from home

You should be able to type, but if not just get teamviewer too, and that will let you do it from your phone then swap back steam link :) And not at all, can change network any time

Has to be launched on your pc then you link with steam link :) touch screen for controller unless you have a steam controller you can use Bluetooth

@@InitYeah I. Have a steel series Bluetooth controller.. but the key mapping is so weird. It lets me key map for a different controller.. I guess that’s the steam controller you were talking about.. but there are so many options to set up a third party controller
