Injectable bone graft speeds up recovery

What kind of chemicals are in this grafting material? Anything that could cause cancer down the line? How long has it been tested?

Today my dentist tried bone morphogenic protein together with bone graft. He placed it instead of bone graft for future implant installation. I have had 4 failed bone graft surgeries and I suggested we use something new. Now I am waiting another 6 months for it to successfully heal and only after that I'll be able to have the implant placed.

Dang! I wish I could get this. The VA is paying for it but I hear it’s pretty insane surgery and recovery sucks, had a friend, a Marine buddy had it done and was doped up on pain meds for weeks
