Do you ever indicate stocks that are close to breaking out before they do, or just after the fact?

Maybe rotation into other sectors

I have noticed that some comments from the live chat have been removed. What gives? It does appear as though some of the comments removed were possibly from disagreements in the chat. I remember those conversations very specifically, and NONE of them were rude, demeaning, or disrespectful. For example, I tried to caution the more experienced traders here about giving advice to people who have less experience, lest we lead them into losses from rash decisions. All of my comments appear to have been removed. Who would do such a thing? And why?

I feel super strongly about this, so I will repeat what I said in the chat, but with added detail: Giving advice is important, especially when it comes down to helping new (or newer) investors learn how to make good decisions. We all want to be helpful, and that's part of "having the heart of a teacher." This is how the human race has become more than we were in ancient times. But we need to be very careful about giving predictions and price targets because we really DON'T know what the market (or any individual equities) might do from one moment to the next. Oh sure, some of us might have strong levels of confidence. Or we might have some kind of algorithm or service that helps calculate inflows and outflows, and of course it's natural to want to share that. But everybody should know that just because somebody says a target is such and so, that does not mean that that target will be reached. The upshot of my point is that there is no substitute for doing the work. I've been through dozens of uptrends and dozens of downtrends, and one thing always seems to be true: The predictions might or might not be right in the moment. Until they're not. And finally, not all of us are going to be able to hand-hold a new investor through all of the buying, holding, and selling decisions that some of us might make in a single hour, nevermind in a whole trading day or longer. This is why I never tell friends or family "you should buy such-and-such". Not even if I have bought it for my own accounts! I'm neither prepared (nor do I have the time) to hold that person's hand all the way through my add-on decisions, my partial sell decisions, my hold decisions, my "this is a position trade and that was a shorter-term swing trade" explanations and so much more. If I tell you "NVDA will go up from here" and I change my mind by lunchtime tomorrow, is it now my responsibility to find you and tell you that I changed my mind? I just can't take that responsibility, and I would feel awful if I left you holding the bag through a gap-down and a 40% loss, if one should occur. Anyhow, that's my thinking. Those of us who have been investing for 10, 20, or more years...we need to be more careful. We need to be more responsible.

And now my posts here in the comment section also don't show up; not even when pulled up in another browser. I don't know why this could be happening, but it feels as though I may have been put into the dog house.

Hi there, we don’t moderate or manually delete live chat messages. Did you make sure you were seeing all messages? By default it may have a setting on for “top” messages vs. all. If you’re seeing all of them, maybe it’s some auto filter on KZbin that’s catching extra messages inadvertently. Thanks for being so active in our live chat!
