Playing a bowler with 155+ speed is relatively easier than facing a machine with 150+ bowling speed. You can see the bowler marching towards you and his arm movement. Basically you're ready in your mind to face him than a machine which just shoots the ball.

The correct way to play 100 Mph is to practise at 102. You won't be able to play 102 but after a while, your body will get accustomed to seeing it and when it comes down to 100 it will feel slower than it is.
