Same way I feel. I first heard the voice in a quick video about the premier skins because I was interested in seeing how Mr. Freeze was then when it showed John Stewart I was like hold on they got Phil Lamarr back so I had to check wiki to confirm it was I was happy to find out it was. Phil Lamarr since he voiced Vamp in Metal Gear Solid 2 has been my favorite voice actor until this day. My brother and I use to take bets on cartoons and games to see if Phil Lamarr was in it (because sometimes he goes unnoticable) and he was literally in everything during the early 2000s to now. Then when he voiced Gambit who is my all time favorite comic book character it just added points for me. Although Chris Potter I feel will always be the best Gambit with Lamarr being close second (but the guy in Marvel Heroes does fantastic too).

Stewart is definitely one of my favorite characters in the entire DCU. He upholds all kinda of responsibility and never backs down from what needs to be done, all the while carrying the burden of his actions at all times. In the New 52, when Oa was being threatened by an army of Will infused aliens, Stewart and the rest of his team was captured. After enduring hours of torture, one of his fellow lanterns was about to finally reveal how to lower Oa's defenses and Stewart broke free of his confines and snapped the lantern's neck. He didn't even waste a second contemplating, he just did it for to good of all the Green Lanterns. After the invasion was repelled, John personally escorted that Lantern's body back to his home world and buried him with his family, hiding the truth of his fate and ultimately telling the family that their son bravely withstood to the bitter end. It was one of the hardest issues I ever read, and one of the few times I cried reading anything Green Lantern.

I like that the comments about the Marine Corps are realistic - he's joking about the Army with Deadshot, "there are many like it but this one is mine" refers to the Marine's Prayer, Drill Instructor versus Drill Sergeant, etc. These may seem like small details that a vast majority of the civilian population would miss, but, as a former Marine, I appreciate the attention to detail.
