Well imo, farming campaign is the best. I believe all silvers have two boss battles besides fate. So get three stars of course for heroic mode and everyday you get a guarantee 6 shards for which silver character. Unless you gem your tries which I believe you can gem up to three times a day. So 4 times a day including the first you get from the daily reset= 24 shards a day. And then before you know it, you’ve got promotions for them. That’s what I do, I don’t usually do challenge mode or resource missions so all of my energy goes towards farming campaign. Only time I use gems is if I get impatient and want to promote a character faster rather than waiting a few days.
