Ok, just to stop any confusion the gear system will only work for casual games. In competitive mode (which is ranked) the gear effects and abilities will be turned off, but your look will remain. As for micro transactions, Injustice 2 will not be pay to win, there will be source crystals which are purchasable, but they can only grant shaders and premier skins, so only cosmetic not gameplay. Any other questions, I'll be happy to answer

One way to make this gear system works and people appreciate it.. The gears are Power upgrades and/or Cosmetics.. Like this.. What if you got a powerful gear but it looks horrible, and the gear that you liked the look has a very low upgrade.. In my mind, I would make the gear have an option.. Either use it as Upgrades, or Pure Cosmetics, and if you liked the look and the upgrade, use it as both as an upgrade and cosmetic.. Get it..? (Sorry for my bad english..)
