After reading the _Injustice: Gods Among Us_ comics (Years 1 through 5), with how depressing and even grimdark it felt at times, the ending to this story was pretty emotional. I have to admit, I teared up a couple times, like when the real Superman showed up at the end of Chapter 11 with the music swelling up, and when the real Superman pointed out everything that Injustice Superman was doing wrong. While I don't think the real Superman would ever become the monster he did in this story, this story does make you appreciate Superman that much more.

Sometimes, I think that Superman turning into a ruthless dictator can easily be one of the Joker’s greatest schemes. Think about it, people see Superman as this invincible symbol of hope and light, mostly saving metropolis or the world from threats Big and small, saying that no matter how Grimm the situation is, there’s always a light in the end of the tunnel. As for the Joker, he’s basically the mortal envodiment of chaos and crime, absolutely unpredictable whenever he just does a harmless prank to drive a society to the brink of anxiety or acts of full-scale of terrorism. Of course, Batman’s there to stop him as he’s the most experienced when it comes to fighting off the clown. Both batman and the joker may not have powers whatsoever, but they sure posses smart minds and ways to outmind their opponents. So what would happen if the clown prince of crime manages to reach the man of steel within his grasp? Sure, there’s no way he would win against the kryptonian with brute strength, so he sorted into attacking a place most people tend to ignore: The mind. He not only tricked Superman into not only killing Louis Lane, but also trigger Metropolis destruction. And just when he’s about to receive the ultimate punishment, BAM! An enraged Superman bursts in and kills the clown. But was he afraid? No! He just smiled, accepting his death, for he has pulled his ultimate prank upon the world, making one of Batman’s worst fears come into play: Make Superman lose control of his morality and ideals. On his final moment, he laughed until the very end. He defeated the dark knight and with him dead, Bruce couldn’t get any retribution whatsoever. The joker got the last laugh out of this

I love Injustice, It’s such a unique and well written Superhero Story. Superman becoming mad over the incident of Metropolis makes him an understandable hero turned villain. However his madness with power forming the regime while Batman’s understanding of the consequences forms the insurgency is where the story really shines. We have heroes and villains choosing specific sides based on their character traits and beliefs. Furthermore you have a debatable message on whether or not controlling society’s crime with power is a good or bad action.

it feels so good seeing the actual good versions of the heroes coming back, after reading through all the 5 years story in the comics and getting used to the bad versions of them, it just feels right when they show up in the game and save the day as always. it also makes me sad to realize how far they have fallen into darkness... superman looks so lost and the good superman feels like a light shining in front of his bad-self. also, it was nice seeing barry turning against superman, it took too long, but he finally did the right thing. rip billy, he didn't deserve it (it's twisted-funny to think harley tried to save him, but he didn't believe her...). speaking of harley, girl had me disappointed when she got back to the joker, i mean, REALLY HARLEEN? Here's what I thought when I first watched this game years ago. One Lex Luthor is a good guy who never became Superman's enemy until he went rogue because of Joker's madness. As for the evil Luthor, when he became a criminal and a major problem to Superman that means the Joker never had the twisted idea to destroy metropolis until he was hired by Luthor. I have a weird theory about the Injustice timeline. In Injustice 2, Batsuit issimilar to the suit of the alternate Batman's suit more than the main universe Batman's. And in the opening is there's a quote if Lex Luthor that says there are few universes that can exactly the same. So, my theory is that the Injustice 2 happens in the alternative Batman's universe, not in the main Batman's universe. I know it doesn't make sense when it comes to the comic run, but in the game version, it is slightly logical.
