What it was meaning to say was that Solomon Grundy's original self (Cyrus Gold) was killed in 1895. Then he was resurrected in 1944. Also Solomon Grundy was a 19th century nursery rhyme.

The Power Chain is good to do first to gain the attribute. Then you can do a very powered up combo into the Health Chain.

You have to remember though, he has his damage multiplier in his Character Ability, so with a X2, it can do way more damage using the same combo.

Sure!! You'll want to do the inputs for the first command after he tosses you in the air but before he slams you into the ground. The second one of each varies: Power Chain: do the second command right before he slams your face into the ground. (qcb, power button) Health Chain: do the second command after he does the first one arm slam. (u,u, power button) Defense Chain: do the second command when he has you in the air by one hand. (u,d, power button) I hope this helps you buddy.

Grundy's chain throws? It's his trait. You press the trait button, then you input the "chain" part you want to do as soon as Grundy slams them onto the ground, and the end part as soon as he picks them up after that.

Hit was hit confirming into the super. Yea you get 4% more raw but no one is going to just let you grab them when you activate your super. They'll back dash, back jump, throw projectiles ect. till it wears off and you will have wasted your entire meter for no return. Doing it his way you guarantee you will land the super in exchange for 4% damage. Well worth it in my opinion.

There are some more Grundy combos i didn't see you do that cause some damn good damage. When i play online and catch someone in a combo I take atleast 55% from them easy. Love Grundy, just a pain in the ass when dealing with Superman or Deathstroke spam.

by using the B# before the super in the last "combo" you actually caused it to scale and lose 4%. you get 44% off a raw super with the power pain chain running.

Yes working on your blocking would help out. I do feel your pain though the only ranged attack that Grundy has would be the swamp hands, and the super version of the attack only holds them in place for so long. -_-

I wasn't naming only zoning characters, just the characters who present match up problems for Grunds. I'm not talking about playing noobs, I'm talking about the experienced players who have almost mastered their characters. Grundy CAN beat zoners/spammers, but it's harder for him to get in than people make it sound. Now that I have been playing for a longer time, I would add more characters to the list.

I guess my biggest problem is not blocking enough, but it's tough when there are players who will spam from across the screen. Solomon Grundy is my favorite character, but he just seems to be at a disadvantage against ranged characters.

These combos are really useful. When i was trying to do some of these combos I made up some of my own but the only thing is I can never do them when Im fighting against people online.

the reason for that is because of the hit box for who ever you use it on, if you use it on bane its 80+, smaller chr get less... its pretty consistent, your still going to get 50+ dmg, thats more then half with 2 bars, and meter on this game is so um not really bad or good just you get lots of it, am not sure if its a good thing...when i play solomon i never run out or hav enough to do what i got to do...

He doesn't need to. Most of these combos are pretty flashy, but due to damage scaling, they don't do much more damage than combos without meter. He has plenty of +40% combos without the use of meter.

You're right. It depends on how good you are with certain characters, but it just seems like Grundy has the biggest problems with the quicker characters with ranged attacks. Solomon Grundy is my favorite character, but I have not been able to beat a decent Doomsday or Ares with him yet. I'm using Sinestro now with much more success against those characters I named.

Moveset and neutral game I think Grundy is the most versatile heavy character in the game. Don't forget to check the 107% Grundy combo on eventhubs. Hope they patch all the 100% combos in the game, TOD is never good.

I agree with you but only slightly, any character can beat any other, it just depends how much time you devote to a character knowing their strengths and weaknesses and knowing what your opponent is capable of, and as for fighting scrubs... :D that just gives me time to put on my training gloves.
