i'm not Filipino. Although i agree that it was injustice, I am glad that today the Philippines is no longer overlooked in Miss U. They come back stronger and paid revenge after revenge through Pia and Catriona. Not only that, with fellow South East Asian sisters Thailand and Indonesia, they now consistently send strong contenders in the pageant. I hope they keep doing it, until they managed to kick out some countries in the placement who are there because of SASH FACTOR like USA.

Janine tugonon was one of my most favorite candidate that was sent for miss universe pageant I mean amongst all. She works very hard received less assistance from any modeling agency in our country. Her training was mounted with criticisms and she had a hard time proving herself that she deserves the title as miss universe Philippines. On the other hand her journey was amazingly rewarding both for her part and our country..... Her walk to her personality exudes out the very first time she went to compete what I like about her is the attitude of being a brave, determined, focused and a strong pilipina woman, I always believe in her and I know should it be her crowned that year I strongly believe she could be a perfect representation of a modern goal oriented, God fearing and a soulful hearted/down to earth miss universe

Nestor Chirinos, yeah Venezuela is better than USA, actually I feel like if Irene will not wear makeup, she will still look beautiful. There's a rumor that one of the judges during the finals became the boyfriend of Olivia few weeks after she was crowned, so technically, Olivia and the guy (one of the judges) know each other even before the pageant. So you know what I mean hehehe.

I think it's how she delivered her ANSWER. Janine's answer has substance but she answered it in a fast-paced manner (esp. on the LAST PART AND THE MOST IMPORTANT PART) and that makes a difference. Compared to Olivia's answer, she delivered her first statement with conviction and that made her stunned. And, that's how the judges remembered coz that's how our human brain remembers (considering the small amount of time to gauge candidates' answers) even if her answer is OUT OF CONTEXT.
