@@mellvee oh please, the extremely dramatized artistic style of some of the other works are just not humanly possible. You can have a small waist but they aren’t as small as depicted in these arts. You literally need room for your intestines, your uterus, your pancreas, your liver, your gallbladder, your stomach etc etc etc. Even women who use corsets are forcing their organs to push up into their kidneys, large intestine, lungs etc. I’m not body shaming, I’m saying his art depicted a more realistic waist line than some of the ones that where praised. jasons was absolutely beautiful. it was illustrative, he made amazing choices; how he faded out that back wing to push it into the background while still keeping it separated from the rest of the body, how dynamic the pose was and the overall construction of the drawing, the saturation and contrast, the tonal gradation, the details that guide your eye through the piece (feathered head, detailed hands/talons, whispy tail)... by far the best and most creative tattoo. I would be absolutely honored to wear it and I really feel like they made an excuse to kick him out because, like someone else said, his personality doesn't bring enough drama to the show. No bullshit, might be the best tattoo I've ever seen on this show from an artistic perspective. honestly, Jerrel's done some awesome work but his griffin's anatomy is absolutely fucked, like what's going on with those back to legs? They don't look strong they look like playdough. The silhouette is NOT strong like nunez said. For the judges to lay into Jason for "guess work" around the neck->shoulder->wing area is genuinely beyond me when Jimmy's tattoo was so stylistically simplistic that there was no making sense of what was actually happening in that same exact area (or really the rest of the piece lmao) nunez was really like "Drawing and application matters" and then saved jimmy for application when his drawing was shit while the best drawing of the day, and no that is not arguable, was sent home. This is probably the only session I haven't watched and *i am fucking livid that they sent jason home over the best tattoo i have ever seen on this show*. Nunez really said "application come first" when application means absolutely nothing if the art behind it sucks. Tattooing is an art. You could tattoo a dick on someone and have the best application the would has ever seen and it would still be a fucking dick.

So I actually got tatted by Jason in College Station in November and he told me that he asked the producers to go home because he had Covid but it wasn’t known about until like months later. Whenever he told the producers the producers told Oliver and Chris on a microphone to send him home but Dave’s microphone wasn’t working so he was super confused as to why they were sending home the best tattoo. Later in the day Dave found out about it and apologized to Jason sayin he didn’t know what was goin on. So yeah that was like my first question when I met the guy lol

I actually like Jimmy's mermaid. I met a part-time mermaid who actually looks like that. She didn't have much in the ways of curves, she had a more square jaw, but she was gorgeous overall and was an excellent performer. Not all mermaids have to be petite and super feminine to look beautiful.

Jimmy’s mermaid should have had a longer tail to balance it out, but the anatomy was wonderful and so was the shading. The hair and the face were perfect!! I really like the detail he put in her abdomen. He shaded around the muscles to define her anatomy and make her realistic. Wish he’d emphasized the fish part though

With the griffins I completely disagree with Jason getting eliminated bc to the average person it looks sick as absolute fuck. As far as I'm aware lots of people in situations like that are happy with the tattoo they get. Heck, I'd be happy, ecstatic even with Jason's griffin tattoo. I think it looks sick and I don't really see an issue with the chest. But this is Ink MASTER. I'm certainly no master at technicality or even proportions so I guess it's held to an extremely high standard. Still, I'm greatly disappointed with Jason being eliminated.

I'm so mad on Jimmy's account. I would 100% get that tattoo and the fact that the judges don't like it because they don't find her stereotypically attractive is infuriating. This show would be great if they got better judges. I've lost count of how many sexist and cruel things they've said.

I agree that Jimmy's Griffin didn't look tough at all, but it was close to perfect on technical application day. I also think sausage should have gone home for the dragon tattoo and not Megan Jean. Was very hard to read his tattoo. I understand that the scale patterns were off on Megan's, but Sausage had pretty much the same tone throughout the whole tattoo

To be fair, maybe they didn't know that they were called "Griffins." I mean, a Griffin is grouped in mythological hybrids and I'm pretty sure they are aware of that. It's seen in traditional tattooing and in tattoos of ancient Gods from various religions. So yeah, I'm pretty sure they have an idea of what it is but didn't know the actual name for them.

Anyone else feel that this last season kept a lot of new artists around longer than they should’ve? Kay, Jessa, Jordi, etc. I don’t think it had anything to do with the tattoos. Maybe it was the teams this year, because both Jason and Jimmy CARRIED their entire team. And to lose Jason for THAT tattoo. He should’ve gotten tattoo of the day for that! I miss the show, but I do feel like it became less and less about the tattoos over time.

I would never wanna be on this show cause this certainly is not a great experience for getting a tattoo. I have a phoenix tattoo as a cover up and I do like it but it has the more cartoon smoke in the flames and some flames have outlines and other parts don’t but it’s much better than what was there so I still am proud of it.
