I use aluminum foil to sharpen all the time and after I will often use some waxed paper.

So cute! Yes using aluminum foil works to sharpen edges. Fold a few lagers and punch through. Also sharpens guillotine trimmers too.

Aluminum foil sandwiched with a sheet of wax paper inside. helps to sharpen the punch as well as add a little lubrication. I've had punches get stuck on me before. Just pop them in the freezer for a bit and they should release the paper easily.

It's just a really cheap one from Lincraft which is an Aussie store. Most craft stores should have some sort of small heart punch hiding somewhere on their shelves ☺️

Fold the aluminum foil over itself a couple times and go for it. It doesn't make the punch like new, but it will be sharper.

Beautiful photo of Archie with such a look of wonder in his eyes. Love what you've done with this layout, particularly how you made the heart of hearts then used that for your journaling, such a 'different' layout but it looks fab. Like you I don't agree with pink for girls and blue for boys. I use what I like - they're my albums :) I have used aluminium foil (we tend to call it kitchen foil in the UK) for sharpening punches, but I found it didn't make a difference for very long... next time I folded the foil so it was a few layers thick and punched to sharpen and it worked much better.
