Thanks for the video it is very helpful! My question is do you send the file the same way when you need to order heat transfers? And will it automatically be the right size? I am new at this and I am not designer but I do want to save on extra charges if I can by sending the right file and sizing it myself.

Good question. Its actually just my operating system global theme, which is Adapta-Nokto-Eta on Solus OS / Linux. I did not make any changes to Inkscapes theme or appearance specifically. It is possible to achieve this look in Windows OS, KZbin user LogosByNick has a good tutorial on this.

You may have to change the order of operation, Change the pixel setting first then change the DPI.

When I exported to PNG, mine didn't export with a transparent background. Is there a setting I need to have enabled for transparency?

It should export with transparent background, but if there is another object behind it, even if its not selected, it will still be exported with that portion of the object in the background. You can check the 'Hide all except selected' option to change this.

Good question. Yes, as I understand it, the fonts that come with Inkscape also have very open licensing and are suitable for commercial use. You can ready more about Inkscape licensing here: inkscape.org/about/license/

@@archanamurthy. That's a good idea, I'll see what i can do. Any original work you create in In Inkscape can be used however you like. When using artwork or photos made by other people, you just need to follow their licensing requirements, which are independent of whatever software is being used.

If you transform your gradient with a dot screen filter, or equivalent, you will get graduating dots that do appear to be a gradient when silkscreened. There is a way to make halftones in Inkscape but it's from another KZbinr, Do you mind if I share links to or from other KZbinrs?
