Play zombies directed mode, get 7 or 8 archies from the 4-5 waves, then save and quit, reload and repeat. Seems like there is a massive drop off in earning after 7-8 archies have been picked up in a match.

Yeah I agree, because I remember the older cods having weird challenges just to unlock a specific gun or by the bundle. They could improve on the events but this also gives all players a better opportunity to unlock it.

All they need to do is have the event, then drop the bundle as soon as the event is over. If you didn’t play the event/ didn’t earn enough that bundle is the only way u’ll be able to get that weapon. A little cynical? Yes. But the results would be better. There’s no incentive to play the event if you can get the main event with cash

So I have a theory, I believe that this event has been going on since last week. I would be playing nuketown holiday 24/7 and would have some enemies glow yellow. I though that it was a weird glitch. Now after playing the new event, I have noticed that the glow for the archie and the glow that certain enemies had are exactly the same. I don't know if someone messed up on their end but how does this happen for the event.

The event is 110% busted. I've been playing BO6 on gamepass all the way to prestige 9 and got zero archies while a friend at Prestige 3 has 10 thousand archies, enough for about 40 people. Byfar the worst event they've released and I didnt even mention how some of the new modes like Jingle Hells play out...

Idk if it’s just me and this may sound conspiracy theory, but these type of acts with pushing guns in bundles to get them early even tho you can earn then, it only seems to happen with Treyarch. I don’t really remember if Infinity Ward or Sledgehammer did this, but it seems more prominent with Treyarch. Like Activision pushes and forces Treyarch to do this kind of monetization even tho they tell us “you can earn them for free” but yet they sell a $20 bundle with the new weapons. I doubt it's been some secret hidden early progression, I've been playing most days, and when the event went live, I had exactly, one archie. Thought it was strange, but whatever. Until seeing other people start the day with thousands. And the event works normal (ignoring the whack start to it) as far as I could tell. Playing zombies, over the course of about 25 rounds plus exfil after, I saw nine individual archies drop seemingly randomly from the zombies, had to walk over them to pick them up, and checking after that game did correctly have the total of ten considering my bugged start of one. This event seemed, alright, could be better could be worse, and yet somehow the ball was dropped for this too from the event itself and once again handling the bundle for new gun. Just, wow...

1:34 the blackcell just being the bp skin but instead of giving it in the battlepass you pay $30 for, you have to play the event. They literally took it out of the battlepass to use it as an event reward. This game keeps getying better every update.

And the earn rate doesn’t even track right like it’s supposed to. Only get one Archie for every 10+ kills in Zombies, and got 1 every 5 kills in Multi and that’s about it. And if you don’t pick them up immediately, they disappear after about 5 seconds, which makes zombies pointless to try to get them on.

Not sure why people didn’t expect this from the new weapons. Common sense says that if they wait until after an event when everybody now has said weapon for free, sales will be down drastically for a bundle with that weapon. Of course they will sell these weapons before the event ends, as would any business that is trying to make money (aka every business).
