I just rewatched this and it's sooo amazing. The reverse editing makes it even better too. If I'm anywhere near your level in ten years I'll be very happy. And I do know that I'm pretty good at drawing, but my skills doing it from memory are limited. I do enjoy it (it's probably the most fun kind of drawing since there's no way of doing it wrong) but it doesn't end up looking very good unless it's like a dog face or something, and I don't feel comfortable making and displaying art that looks like it was made by someone new to the concept of drawing when the other things I make are so much better. Blegh. I guess I need to keep in mind that while I arted a lot as a kid/teen it was mainly me looking at photos of human/cat faces and trying to copy them as closely as I could. I've never really worked on my memory drawing muscles. It's weird. I'll have to do more of that. Do you learn to draw from memory by just drawing or by studying more of how things look and move though? I'm guessing it helps to do gesture drawing and looking at actual things irl which I do a fair amount. Ok thanks for letting me throw my thoughts in your comment section once again I appreciate it very much.
