A fair number of times I find it hard to see what you are talking about in the video, do you have a virtual pointer or will the recording software you use show your mouse with tails so you can highlight a part of the screen you are referring to?

I have been playing around with SDR Sharp with skytale-C, i purchased one of the L band antenna's, but I still cant get anything on inmarsat. I'm in the US midwest, so I think I should be recieving on 1541 mhz??? I cant get sytale-c to lock onto a strong enough signal, but on 8.1 mhz I get a dialating circle in the constelation box. techminds, any advice?

I am using SDR Sharp and added the lines for Scytalec UI. I also d/l the Scytalec Quick UI file. How does SDR Sharp interact with the Quick UI file. Does it need to be copied to a specific folder>
@TechMindsOfficial4 жыл бұрын
You have the Scytale C plugin in SDR sharp, as show in the video, and then make sure the UI program is on the same network and has the same UDP port set as per the plugin on SDR sharp. Let me know how you get on.
@skipblomer11234 жыл бұрын
Tech Minds does the UI program have an execute file so you can install it and then determine the network? I am not at my computer right now! Will be later! Thank you for the help!
@TechMindsOfficial4 жыл бұрын
The UI program does have an exe file, but it doesn’t need to be installed, it just runs from the file location you saved it to, or moved it to. You run the UI program at the same time as SDR Sharp, just make sure you press the “play” button on the UI program to start receiving the packets from the SDR Sharp plugin. Hope that helps.

Thanks for your videos, unfortunately the software you use to add subtitles does not work correctly and give wrong words that you have said.

I believe that's KZbin that does the subtitles, nothing to do with me :-)

Can ypu monitor other satellites ?. I'm in Australia and used to monitor an Analogue comms feed from an Optus Satellite on KU band using a 10.7G LNB down converted to 1.2Ghz fed into an analogue receiver until it went digital, I dont beleive its encrypted its just digital.

Yep, I’m currently playing around with Iridium Satellites, video coming soon! Also, you should have no problem with receiving Inmarsat and iridium where you are

Let’s say i wanted to track all the planes that flew into, and out of, an airport within a 2 day period. And i then wanted to decode all their acars messages. Also, these planes all have opted out of ATC public tracking, so don’t show up on Flight Aware etc. Tracking will need to be done via ADS-B reporting and ADS-B hobbyists mainly. What would i need?

JAero has the ability to decode telephone comma, if you have the right antenna. Iridium is more interesting tho, video coming soon 😁
