This video made such a huge difference in my ride comfort, and performance. Thank you for taking the time to explain these features, and encouraging me to experiment with them. I finally settled on Commuter mode with 50% pedal hardness, and 2% forward tilt for my every day commuting. It's made a world of difference in my commute.

Thanks for the excellent video as always! Performing your first test made me laugh out loud as the sensation was so unexpected. It reminded me of using the swing standing up when I was a kid. 😂 Doing the tests with this video as a guide was very helpful!

Excellent. I have often thought that the V12 possibly has too many options in the settings and that many riders simply don’t think through what they are doing. In all the forums the vast majority of people suggest setting the wheel to Fancier Mode + Off-road+ 100% Pedal hardness….and this is suggested for new riders on their first wheel!! I found by trial and error that I much prefer Commuter mode + 50% Pedal hardness and no split mode.. Also.,2 deg forward lean. But each to their own. The Americans obviously feel that full hard and full stiff is the macho way to go. It is a failure of INMOTION that they offer this amazing adjustability..yet give no advice, guidance or instructions on how to use it..or what it does. Maybe they should simply use your video Mrelwood! Many thanks !
@mrelwood_EUC Жыл бұрын
I agree, the options are overwhelming to most riders. But ever since I familiarized myself with them properly, I can never go back! I do hope this video reaches many Inmotion users that struggle with them. Hardest of hards is indeed what some people are mentally stuck with. I get It with old wheels that didn’t have all that hard ride modes in the first place, but the current ones are definitely too hard to suit normal riding very well. But three modes only…? Nah, the probability of finding a suitable one is pretty darn low.

its so true, i got 5000km on my two V11, also my first, soon replaced by adventure, it was way in to the 1st sommer season (3rd almost over now) i discovered soft ride, took some time to get used to but was comfortable right from the start. i do full paced mountain bike trails and illegal city driving in denmark. stopped with the black trail drops since my rimz now are pretty messed up. fugging like driving around so much, bought my 2. V11 3 days after i learned to ride and was in the forrest the 1st time. only problem with the V1, it's not ment to offroad, once the cheam made expensive to buy air shocks are done i total disassembly the wheel and give i new parts, now its my 3rd year riding and i do feel the batteris is a bit worn, had some pads from one of the big names, but they really never worked for me, it's misunderstood tha pads i necessary, for the v11 the seat well mounted can do, the pedals... i hvae one with original and one with honeycome, like the originals but honeycomb gives more secure when riding harder. for every crash i know the edge at bit better... waiting for EUC races to be the norm standart. never canged the tyres, to another type, Drive mode commute,,,,, Pedal Hardness loooow,,,,,,,,, splitmode speeding 60% braking 15% feels like surfing the world. but be more concies when hitting big bumps, since the wheel in tha mode takes a little logner to react, no problem once used to it. ezzz relaxed ride,,,,, high hopes for Inmotion Adventure

Yooo those are some sick animations! xD Really help understand the differences in detail. 10/10 3:30 what does the "Speed Clamp at 25" setting do? Is it just a quick button to temporarily turn on/off max speed to 25 without needing to adjust your "real" max speed ? Or does it make the wheel behave different than just setting max speed to 25 ?
@mrelwood_EUC Жыл бұрын
Thanks! 😄 Yes, I believe the 25km/h cap is exactly that. Never tried it myself though. 😆

My small contribution to the ECU World. Find a Mountainsmith Tour Lumbar Pack This can be used as a saddle bag on your unicycle. A couple tips Make sure all the straps are tucked in. Use a water bottle for balance for the left and right side of the saddle. The EUC well lean back but you can compensate for this. For longer trips it’s nice and beats the weight of a backpack on your shoulders. Enjoy!

Hmm. Wouldn't this get in the way of your legs? What do the straps connect to?
@james2137 Жыл бұрын
@@Z-Rabbit I wish I could upload a picture. It’s traps around the EUC. Then it has additional straps to it to hook onto the unicycle. It does not get in the way of your legs because it hugs the EUC

Thanks a lot for your video !!! I own Mten 4 and V11, for my V11 i wish more easy and fast acceleration ... When i climb it's not enough easy. What's your best settings for me for tire pression, high and lower chambers and settings in InMotion App or Euc World : 1m83 / 83 kg and 90-95% in off-road ?
@mrelwood_EUC Жыл бұрын
Like I said in the video, the feeling of effort is highly personal matter. The best settings I can suggest are the ones you end up with after doing the test in this video. For tire pressure, depending on what kind of off-road I’d go with 2.0-2.3 bars. And for shocks you can try 120/60psi. I’d measure the sag though: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5-TcnWaqZ17bZI

One more thing tho. Pedal angle. How does this change riding? Dynamics? -2 0 +2
@mrelwood_EUC Жыл бұрын
Good addition, thanks! Pedal angle is just a fixed, stationary position of the pedals’ center point. Essentially it’s the same as if your hiking boots had a slightly higher heel height than your sneakers. Adjusting the fixed pedal angle you’d get them to feel the same. Further than that, people’s ankles have different ranges of motion, and one pedal angle can feel more natural to them than the other. I really don’t think the usability of the adjustment goes further than that. Myself I switch between 0 and 1 degree forward depending on my shoes and the mood of the day… I shouldn’t leave out though that a large pedal angle forward makes braking more difficult and acceleration easier, and vice verse. So don’t overdo it, especially with forward angles.
@jomme918 Жыл бұрын
neutral too back leaned,, then rather ride softmode, otherwise you get thrown off more easily if you break hard and tilted forward

Given your newer video about the foot positioning , how could I program my V12 for more sensitive and powerfull breaking ?
@mrelwood_EUC Жыл бұрын
Lower the Split Mode braking to something like 30 and try if it’s enough. If not, put the pedal hardness on Commuting at 70% and lower them both until it’s enough.

I have only tried a few different settings on a V12, and didn’t get to play with the Split modes. But I do recommend trying. What you actually end up using is completely up to you, and I suggest you take the time to go through the steps guided in the video to find the ones that fit you the best.
