Both prayers were composed by Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche for use by his students.
The Inner Refuge Prayer helps one to connect deeply with the boundless space, infinite awareness and genuine warmth that are one's true nature. The Bardo Prayer is traditionally sung for three days after someone dies, as a way to communicate and help the deceased to understand that whatever experiences he or she is having in the bardo (intermediate state after death), these experiences are only a self-manifestation of the mind; and that there is no need to fear them or be driven by them.
