No "apologies" are necessary. Texas released three terrific records that were difficult to classify. They had no hits (even in the UK) and had some bad luck in a few attempts at touring here. (They were opening for John Mellancamp when he had his heart attack and the tour was cancelled). The record company -Mercury was undergoing a lot of turmoil and I don;t think they knew how to promote Texas. I believe the record company stopped distributing their records here. Charleen and Johnny made a brave move in changing the sound of the band with White on Blonde--a huge smash in Europe/UK. By this time, I suspect The band had given up on the US and focused on where their records were selling. I do think they have a following here and on a good bill could sell out a tour of moderate sized theaters/venues. One can hope. They are a truly great band live--I travelled to Scotland to see two shows. Charleen is an electric performer.
