@@jays0909 yes, because self talk is usually alleviating symptom, the condition (what's going on), while the cause that is mistakenness in belief, perception, remains unrecognised and unresolved. Self talk is not necessarily resolving cause. Most do not yet recognise this difference, that we are by virtue of how we think, not what we may think and say we are.

Mind ( Consciousness ) speech ( concept of self ). Our concept of self which is the name that we are aware of being is a state of consciousness. In this state we express all that we are aware of being as that person.
