Damn, Von Franz is intensely brilliant. Distilled Jung's work but excellent in her own right.

This is incredibly insightful, I'll have to watch it more times to fully grasp what she is talking about. Great video... and with a surprise ending, I found out towards the end that I have been to the place you are walking through.

Check out my channel. Below, these videos have some information for men. Look for words like "mother complex" in the videos' descriptions: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oaCqfYljmLl5p9U kzbin.info/www/bejne/faO9nq2Bf9SngM0 kzbin.info/www/bejne/ep_Gc2mei9Cpi9E

Simply reverse the roles in this story with "man" and that should work too. It works both ways quite neatly ;)

I woulkd say it is more important that women develope their masculine side than for men their anima side. At this super duper duper critical stage in man's journey on plaet earth. The New Orleans Jung club metts 6 months of the year, The meetings are like 70% women, Women are drawn to Jung's ideas But the club is not growing Its the same 30 women that show up every meeting past 20 yrs. THese meetings do nothing for these women, THe speaker is so far off Jung's ideas, making up things as he/she goes. Jung predicted his ideas would die. and so has come true. It is not what he wanted, but he sensed after his death his ideas would go through a weird morphosis, leading into all sorts of crazy ideas. And so it has come to pass. Jung could see the future very clearly. The New York branch has nothing to offer, The California club is even worse. I've looked at many YT vids of Jungian groups and its all bunk. The european schools also offer nothing of Jung's ideas in developement. and to run from this reality is what we call The Shadow. = Jung is traped in Shadow ,,,Jung would laugh, Jung had a great sense of humor, but I am sure some tears of sadness would be mixed in w tears of being so funny at the thought of it all.

Yes - you describe s.t.h. Important and yet rarely acknowledged (by all those who have a stake in it financially , or status, or whatever rings their chimes) Hence i stay well clear of all those courses, clubs & groups. Many years ago i invested in the Collective Works, Vol 1 - 20, his letters Vol I and II (can’t find Vol III), the redbook ( in german and some translations) and read CGJ straight and not relying on others for interpretations. I do like MLvF, Robert A Johnson and some others who have actually met and/or worked w/ CGJ. Or the book compilation “ C.G.Jung speaking - Interviews & Encounters” You might be familiar with an important book on that subject, by Peter Kingsley “Catafalque”. Not for the faint of heart and might be an acquired taste - though i am very grateful that he had the courage to write it. Published 2018 as i recall. He describes just that what you addressed above. If you haven’t read it, there is a good review on the book by MGemelli (if i remember her name correctly). Or just plunge right into reading those 2 volumes.

@@1kenneth1985 Hi Yes I started collecting hard copies and soft copies, have Jung's 2 vol sets on Nietzsche and 1 other seminar 2 vol set. THe Nietz seminar 2 vol goes for like $350++ a set, I paid like $200 some 16 yrs ago, Note Jung's Psycholgical Types soft copy , last printing was 1974, Every single copy falls aprt, crappy glue down, = One of THE most important books EVER EVER written Psych Types, and Princton had to use very veryyy poor binding glue. The hard copy's are pricing up and up now, Have mine arriving ina few weeks $45. Funnay thing, Jung now is my active imagination teacher, its crazy, I am having dialogues w Jung. Jung and I would be the greatest friends and yet the greatest enemies, I am now reading Jung via super critical mind, There is soem of Jung I take issue with. Can not stand **the Jungians*** Robert Johnson, and the whole lot. I like Barbara Hannah's bio on Jung, all of MLVon Franz, but again via a critical reading. After 40 yrs doodling around with Jung I can FINALLY read, undersatnd and critque. There is alot lotttt of Jungian stiuff that is not faithful to Jung's genius. Edwin Edinger, no thanks. Etc etc ETC. ONly Jung and Von Franz stays on my shelf. Nice Day Paul New Orleans

If we wish to carry on Jungs work, then we must walk our own life, confront our own shadow. Are you doing the work yourself?

important for both genders but it is MEN specifically who are under attack in Western society- "Toxic masculinity", "mansplaining", "soy boys", etc. Women never have to prove their femininity. Males must prove or somehow be initiated into manhood or he remains in what Dr Dan Kiley describes as " The Peter Pan Syndrome" or the male who refuses to grow up into full masculine, responsibility, and manhood. Modern Men are struggling - few mentors, few elders, few guides, few Men/Fathers available or willing to assist with the uncomfortable but necessary transition manhood.

she is mocking the victims in old and long analytical tradition, CG Jung did this too.
