Damon has officially proved he's on another level. He clearly knows his Middle Earth and Star Wars (as we already knew), but, more importantly, I think his round one was very solid. I'm still dubious about ability to hit a 3 and 5 pointer when he doesn't get SW or ME. Roxy kept saying he "finally" got Star Wars for the 5... but in reality, this is his first time getting asked a 5 pointer in IG so who knows. There was definitely an element of luck in this win.

@@VandelYeIndustries For sure. I like to ask though, if these competitors played 9 times, who would win more times? Based on their performances, I would still bet on Hanna. You can count on Hanna and Alex going into round 3 neck and neck. So the question becomes, does Alex know more than half of all 5 pointers? I don't think he would get many 5 pointers in categories outside his 3 or 4 strengths. I think Damon needs luck to win on the 5. Whereas, I think Brandon could win without the luck if the 5 because his overall knowledge seems stronger

@@sivad1025 They're pretty even. Hanna has a wider range of knowledge while Damon has depth. Unlike 5 pointers in singles, 5 pointers in IG are consistently deepcuts. Damon is guaranteed to get the 5 pointers on his strengths, Hanna is not. Or at least he hasn't proven to be anywhere near as dominant as Damon in a category.

The satisfaction would come from the promos. Plus, Kalinowski was a step behind his usual self in his last match. I expect him to play better next week, but no one knows how prepared Kalinowski is yet. We saw just how prepared Hanna was. With that kind of ammo, Hanna would crush his promos, win or lose. Kalinowski on the other hand is one of the most solid promo guys in the Schmoedown. Ken Napzok was his manager for a time, and it shows. Chandru vs Hanna 3 (4?) would also be a slobberknocker. Hanna is a much better player now than he was the first few times they played. That said, I am much more interested in seeing what would happen if Hanna played in singles. Is his knowledge base as solid in all facets of movie trivia, or just in Inner Geekdom? Whether he is or not, seeing Hanna face off against Andrew Ghai and/or Ben Bateman would be worth seeing just for their past history retold through Nerd Chronic's insanely good promo videos.

As a Roxstars fan, I'm super happy. As a fan of Alex and the work he does on Star Wars Explained, I'm even MORE happy. And as a Ken Napzok fan, I can't help but chuckle. He's so great with the manager comedy. Haha But yeah. This was satisfying to see in the same way it's great when you're a kid who watches wrestling and the heel loses. Pure comeuppance. But on the real level, Hanna played great. That was just one hell of a 5-pointer. That said, that was probably the weakest challenge I've ever seen.

Fantastic breakdown of the match. I'd agree on all points. I think it's safe to say that while the win/loss ratio is not the same, Ken Napzok has firmly established his place as The Undertaker to Kristian Harloff's Vince McMahon. If Kristian asks, Ken will do his best to be there, which is the best kind of friend to have. That said, is it weird that I want to see Ken pair himself with Hanna in the team's tournament? Hanna is a much better player now than he was the past, and Ken needs someone to balance his great but inconsistent play style. Plus, the story of two players who clearly don't like or respect one another coming together to most likely make it to the semi finals if they come up against a team that isn't ready... That would be worth seeing just for promos and clashing play styles alone. Besides, Hanna need some mentorship, which Ken is seemingly a master at. Just look at everyone he's either managed or played with. When the two weakest players you had a hand in managing are Stacy Howard and Eric Zipper, that's some serious prestige. I'll admit the teams those two are on are way better suited to them as players, but Clarke Wolfe and Kalinowski are clearly Ken's star pupils.

Something else occurred to me, right as I'm going to bed of course. Harloff said Green Hornet was on the list of movies that was sent out at the beginning of the tournament. If Hanna found it so objectionable that it was included he should have said something when the list was sent out, not when he finally gets asked a question from the movie!! Clearly he never bothered to carefully read thru the list. And that my dear Crybaby Hanna, is your own fault. Goodnight!

Barbara Rowley in opinion it wasn’t even shaky lol. For me, shaky would mean unsure which way is gonna fall.... It was clearly a lost battle before they even conferred. His argument against Green Hornet , if upheld, would have eliminated a bunch of other eligible movies that have been asked before, some actually pretty often. I don’t even understand the logic behind challenging that.
