You need to do all the covers of this song, not only WBTBWB. I for example love the Saltatio Mortis one, but Sasha and Bosshoss are great too. What's especially amazing is that they are done in completely different styles unlike a lot of modern covers these days.

That comment about the part, that everybody is waiting for: Perfectly said! I think many EC songs have one of those! My favorites are the We Got the Moves breakdown, the Choo-Choo down, Kevin‘s part in Castrop x Spandau and somehow all of Hurrikan - just because it makes me laugh the whole time, especially when seeing reactors. 😂😂😂 Now for an unpopular opinion 😅: I like all Hypa Hypa covers except the WBTBWB one. Their videos are supposed to be funny. But I just can’t watch the lead singer. He has ONE facial expression! Also: The screams are not as pretty for my personal taste. Hypa hypa was one of the first transitional songs with the new direction and singer. So this was wonderful first things people reacted to and can you imagine this being the first song you hear from them?!? They clearly evolved since then but this was the go big or go home moment for them! It was pre-Tekkno album and was on its own MMXX record. And the WBTBWB version is to clean your palette - cause they hit even harder. 😅 But to be precise - there is more than one cover of hypa hypa. There are SEVEN cover versions! Most of those got videos (some are country, some are rap/hiphop, some are boyband-ish only. The butter is the closest to the original with their signature and set to 11! 😂 and with the butter one they IMHO are making fun about the music industry (selling out, taking it all too seriously and not trying new things).

Again a great reaction.👏👏👏Hypa Hypa was the introduction of Nico as their new singer to their fans. So imagine you're a metalhead and like Metal/TransCore music and you're used to listen to an of course silly but still Metal band. And then their new Single with a new singer in 2020 starts with neon color tracksuits, mullets, moustaches, EDM Tekkno beats and "Hypa Hypa you're pretty and I like ya".😂😂😂 ESC is a own world. You'll never know what will happen. (Last year our contestants Lord of the Lost went to the last place, and imo it was not the badest song but the scoring is, to put it mildly, strange.) Honestly I'm happy that EC didn't competed. They are better than ESC. I'm not talking about other artists or songs aso but the whole crap of "organization", "behind the scence", "moneymaking" aso.

They have a few live videos posted on their Instagram, and while they are great, any of the live stuff from their 2024 tour is next level. The guys keep getting better and better as time goes by. The Dandy Vault uploaded their full shows from Silver Spring and Pier 17 in NYC from this past week, and the quality is very good. It's a good representation of how awesome EC is live. I recommend a song from those shows rather than their official lives because I think it does a better job of showcasing their true talent.

The video is really funny, *really* funny, but I only could comprehend that after a few watches, because the music is so freaking good. I was basically only listening and couldn't believe it. Well, regarding the ESC, it was one of dumbest decision of the German ESC Board and they have a lot of them. The German ESC Board said it was not radio friendly enough. That itself opens a big decision it this is necessary in the first place. A lot of countries has proven it is not necessary. And you only here a handful of ESC songs in the radio.

I totaly enjoy that u fall in love with this band. To the part of the ESC. you already reacted to Hurrikan of EC. This was a statement. The idea was: Let's go to Eurovision Song Contest with Pump it. German officials said, no as it is not radio friendly enough. EC said "fine" and the next song (Hurrikan) is starting with the typical, exctremely boring music (German Schlager) that is always sent to those shows by germany.

My guess it’s because they’d have won that the German broadcaster cleaned them off the roster. They weren’t keen on having to pay next year’s ESC completely. The cost of the event is considerable, and Germany is already contributing regularly, I seem to remember. Winning would mean paying even more.

I don't know if you listen to Eurovision songs but you might enjoy the Croatian entry Baby Lasagna Rim Tim Dagi Dim. Baby Lasagna says his influences are Rammstein and you can hear that in the song and Electric Callboy who influence by the double layering the synth layer and the rock element and switching them to a driving beat. Yup. They would've won. German committee didn't let them through, because they knew exactly that EC would be then chosen to represent Germany, and - as Lordi case shows - they would win Eurovision without any effort. You remember what happened when Lordi got through to Eurovision? Maaany people, who watched this contest, bored as usual, decided: "OK, now it is the time to finally vote for someone who does something not that dead boring". Even I did vote then - for the first, and - so far - the last time 😄 So, to put it simply: they didn't go to Eurovision, because Germans didn't want to win that year. And - what might be quite possible - they didn't want some rogue band, not attached to huge media corporations, to become popular without their approval. Just a suggestion for your most satisying riffs list: Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Sexy Mexican Maid: kzbin.info/www/bejne/moqnooqNl7eZn5o The riff that comes in at 1:33... I think part of the reason it's so satisfying is that they hold it back until after the second verse, but it's just such a good riff. For me it has the same bombast as the main riff in Audioslave 'Show Me How to Live.'
