The owner said she wanted to put the cat out of his misery. I think the only misery the cat was in was that he had a horrible owner. So glad someone was there to help rescue him.

i feel like the owner just said that to the cops to seem less guilty, they knew what they were doing was bad and the cops would be involved if caught. I don't think they were "trying to put it out of its misery" they didnt like the cat and didnt care if it suffered. hope karma gets them.

Thankfully, this cat did get a happy ending. He was actually adopted by Dr.Chris, and renamed George. He passed away a few years later (not exactly sure how many), but he was very well loved - and spoiled - in that time.

George died in July 2012. The original episode that featured the almost drowning of George was aired Feb 2009, so he got 3 years of good life with Dr Chris. Love this story! When I first saw the clip I had to go see if google could tell me what became of him after we see him being handed over to the fosterer. Discovered that Chris adopted him in the end, loved that ending for him!

I don't understand why some people don't realize that there is the option to rehome a pet. My current dog was abandoned by his previous owners when he was only 15 weeks old. Thank God a Good Samaritan saw them dump him by the side of the road and immediately called the police. There is nothing wrong with our dog. He doesn't bark, doesn't bite, doesn't lunge, doesn't run away. He's the perfect dog for anyone who needs a quiet companion. And, yes, we took him to the vet and each time receives a clean bill of health.

Like my dog. He had been really cruelly treated. Neighbours intervened and he was handed over to the authorities in Eire. The owners were prosecuted but I don't know what their sentence was. My dog carried the scars of his ill-treatment all his life - for some strange reason they cut off the pointy parts of his ears (German Shepherd) so he looked like a big teddybear - and that is exactly what he was, a good, gentle, loveable teddybear of a dog. I adopted him from a rescue when he was moved to the UK and I had him for 11 years until old-age and two major strokes got him. He was probably around 13/14 years old when he passed. It is over a year since I lost him and there isn't a day that goes by without me thinking of him. I miss him terribly even though I also have 10 cats - 8 of them are rescues too.

My calico was thrown into a dumpster right next to a vet’s office. The vet’s office took the person’s license plate and I believe reporter her. They then called the shelter they do a lot of work for. She was 4 months old. I adopted her after she had only been at the shelter for a week or two. She’s now 7 years old. She’s still referred to as “dumpster cat” at the vet’s office lol.

I have two dumped greek cat’s. Ok, one is missing a leg and the other one has ataxia, but They are perfect and So full of love and cuddles… wouldn’t wanna Miss them. If you can’t take care of your animal anylonger, their are other options than killing or dumping them.

I was thinking the same thing. Even in CPR training you're taught to hold an infant with their head on a downward incline and pat their back to help clear the lungs but you never see a vet do it till now.

So sorry Chris lost (Huey) George. That's why I was so happy and surprised to see him adopt Cricket. It didn't take long to see the love in Chris's eyes while he was watching Cricket recover. So I knew he was going to adopt that precious kitty. RIP George, and I'm so glad you were rescued and then lived the rest of your life with an owner who would love you the way you should be and take the ultimate care of you. It breaks my heart that Poor excuse for human beings can do these things to innocent animals. Any animal.

He has what I have called 'rabbit fur' it's short &very dense so it's exceptionally soft. I currently have a couple of cats that are distantly related, probably, that have this kind of fur. One I thought I'd name after a kitten when I was 4-5, he had similar markings but was hit by a car. His name was 'Charlie'. This cat was female but had markings that reminded me of him. So, named her 'Sharlie'. When we moved into our current place, she would catch flies with her front paws. So, added 'Ninja Kitty' then because of her fur her full name is: Sharlie Ninja-Kitty Bunny-fur. Lol.

Well if you have seen the video, you will understand my point, I think. Yes, he has an attitude at the moment. I rather think that between the ocean and the clinic there is very little if any memory. So it was ocean - clinic. Not sure the cat realizes that the clinic and its people saved him. So he saw a new human not associated with the clinic and he was all about going with her! As for his attitude - he did use foul language, but he did not try to take anybody out. He's a really good boy at heart. He had weapons he did not use. Forgive him. PS I totally love that there were three cops there to see if he survived. They wanted their case to be locked down so they would win it. Hope they did.

I had a cat with the same color. Had him for a long time. His name was Gijs (Dutch form for Gus). He always talked to me and walked along with me while walking the dogs, but he never sat on my lap. Next to me yes, not on my lap. Don't know why. But he was a great cat.

"Giving it a good death" by letting it drown and suffer while being petrified? How is that a good death? If one of my animals whether the horse or my cats gets too sick for treatment (due to age or other reasons) I will pay to have them put down quickly and humanely. Money isn't an issue. (Of course I'm not loaded but if my pets need to go to stop the suffering, then thats what has to happen)

Another friend of mine also found a puppy in the beach as well. Kitten was found i a plastic bag in bushes. Very heart broken nowdays in Bali 😢

Don’t know how people can do that to animals. About 18 months ago (possibly more) a dog was seen to be thrown into still water with a rock tied to its collar, here in Edinburgh, fortunately those who saw it, not only reported it but also dragged the GSD out and saved her life. The owners have been charged with cruelty and the dog made a full recovery and has been rehomed.

If it was the penguin, I think George was upset for two reasons: 1 Dr Chris was feeding the penguin fish but not giving any to George. 2 Elsewhere, Dr Chris had said that when he got home from work, he had to lie on the sofa and cuddle George for an hour or so. That obviously didn't happen when he took the penguin home so George was upset because he hadn't had his cuddle time.
