Satisfying explanation liked the way you explained the comparison, can we expect the same reliability on the petrol engine as we can expect on the diesel, diesel is a tested and proven reliable engine, also like to know if the old Innova petrol engine is underpowered and installed in the new high cross, for me it looks like the same, my finding it can be wrong. Would you recommend additional 7lakhs is justificable for a hybrid version of Hycross except the mileage look like all the features are the same.

Hycross with front wheel drive in monocock build will feel like ertiga and xl6 bro. Reason so simple body weight illa and grounfld clearance adhigama irukku. so neenga speed ah pona unga vandi kathukku wobble aagum. Other hand cysta is diesel with same body weight as before in correct height and weight with back wheela vandi move aagum and seats are provided with much confortable than in hycross. Neenga 180 ponalum vandi wobble aagathu.

Crysta is better than the hycross reason is rear wheel drive. And crysta will be much more better if give without the add blue 🔵 liquid. Reason is I'm having a mg hector and it need add blue. It will give you range panic because if the add blue liquid is not available the engine won't allow to start. It happened to me once and I don't have anyone selling that liquid in my locality so I travel to the showroom to buy it and nowadays I used to keep a backup add blue liquid in my trunk always. And if you drive hycross after driving crysta diesel you will definition feel like hycross don't have the power to pull the vehicle with 7 occupents. Try it

I dont know why, but hycross doesnt seem to he a headturner in real also I’ve seen it & isnt much appealing and moreover its a petrol that too in automatic trim only😑! While crysta is still a headturner and the diesel engine sound in low speed revs is still a charm to hear and is more appealing also, it has enough features to make it feel like WE ARE DRIVING THE CAR & basic features are fulfilled! Make machines to drive and do not let the machines drive you, 🔴PS-Its my perspective🔴

Your comparison is in line with the expectedness of Toyota. Crysta has been degraded just to promote high cross in many ways. I have test driven highcross and found lacking torque. It struggles and houls with loud noise inside cabin although petrol. Its only plus is interior, dash, steering. But crysta is clearly supreme in pulling with high torque required for 7/8 seater. Laddle frame, rear wheel drive are welcome present. Automatic, Dash, steering, interior and vital rear camera are purposeful let down in crysta. Battery housing hinders space in hybrid high cross.

Bought Kia carnival last week for 36 after driving Innova Hycross ZX(o) I felt Toyota is just hype and Kia Diesel engine is just awesome with 8 Speed but mileage I get 11 Max and 9 in city which is okay for the space and 570 litre boot space. Dual sunroof, and automatic sliding powered doors are just premium ! People just stare at this car 😊

I have driven my Hycorss 6k so far and car hasseries of issues . 1. Super hard suspension 2. driver left knee hits the center consol. Which results left knee pain.Poor thigh support. 3. Build Quality - the bonnet vibrates like paper every time when hits a pothole or speed breaker.4. I could hear even a whispering sound and Tyre noise from outside clearly. This seems an issue many other owners as well.

Diesel innova if you're looking for a cab and taxi since it's RWD, diesel engine, mileage, resale etc.. Hycross if you're a private buyer with running of less than 10,000kms per year. Hycross still has lots of shoes to fill and prove itself in the indian car market.

If you afford to put petrol... Go for hycross... ( Rare use ... Or Have 2 or more cars go for it ) If you love or can't afford for petrol ... Or often goes for long journey go for diesel ... Crysta But you can't covert LPG or CNG kit in hycross ... Because still didn't develop in AMT varient ... For comfort go for hycross ... For minimum off-road / for travel use go for crysta ... ( Due to body on frame and mono build body )

I am big fan of Diesel engines but I feel Hycross is VFM. However, the mileage in MID of Hycross (5.2 Kmpl) hurts. It's wise to choose Hycross if we get mileage at least 10 in city condition.
