Wow! I have been a tech for over 24 years, you have explained how to use these forms and some of the tricks in using them. I only do HEMA free gel now for myself as I am retired due to health issues which involve my hands. This will give me time to do my nails at my own pace and create lovely designs I can’t do anymore. I have a set of those dual forms and can’t wait to try this. Thank you so much for sharing your experience and advice.

Or at least an in-depth nail prep so I can also have beautiful nails without the UV exposure. Thanks in advance. Keep growing ❤

I felt the same way and started to use gloves. I’ve purchased the nail gloves that are sold everywhere but there isn’t any SPF rating so I bought a brand of rubber gloves called “Gorilla Gloves” and are made by the same brand as Gorilla Glue. They make a glove that is 4mm and 6mm thick. Both are a minimum of SPF 50. You just cut the tips of fingers off. Best part you can wipe excess ANYTHING on your glove lol! Of course it is a one time use but much better than cheap “manicure “ gloves that I can see through! And YOU control the length of where tip is cut. Highly recommend AND I also put SPF cream on my hands prior to putting gloves on! It works and hands are protected and feel so soft after! Hope you try it as I’m loving my gel DIY nails and doing great! I follow Jai or Nails by Jai on YT and she is amazing! Be well❤❤❤❤❤

@@tovah2276 oh that’s a brilliant idea. Thank you so much. Though I couldn’t find the exact brand online here in the UK, the similar ones are £36. Too expensive for one time use. But, I’ll try to figure something out.
@tovah22763 ай бұрын
@@kajalchadha9880 36£! Yikes! You need a friend that’s a Nurse Lol! (I’m a Nurse Practitioner & I just ask a rep for a box lol! I don’t think a box of 50…50 sucks but it’s because they are so thick that’s the count of these. Really ANY brand you can find that are 4mm 6mm thick are great & have a good SPF protection even if they do not SAY it. It’s just simple Chem for Nitrile gloves….4mm and over are 50 SPF! Find any brand OR if you’re good at sewing…you could go buy a 1/2 metre of rash guard fabric as I believe that is 25-50SPF but that WILL be labeled! 1/2 metre should get you 2-3 pairs at least? I’m not a sewer by any means but straight lines lol…..I’m 5’ so I’m always having to hem my scrubs! And If you can find rash guard fabric (like what a surfer would wear) they can be hand washed & any gel u get on them, just cure the glove before washing and then father washing and drying, the gel will “pick” off super easy! As for cost of fabric……my gf IS a “sewer” (show-off lol) & she found a REALLY UGLY rash guard SHIRT on amazon on sale and cut it up. Worked out to be 1/4 of cost of fabric by the metre! SHE is a smart cookie! Good luck doll! I used to work in the UK many years ago but didn’t wear nils then lol! I’m “retired” now, for the most part. I guess I should say that my BODY retired me lol. So I MORE than “understand” u not wanting UV on you. I use led for that reason but I am still cautious as I’ve beat “this thing” before but definitely do not want to give it any “help”….im sure u understand what I’m saying without saying it. I refuse to give it ANY “power”!! Sooooooo……you keep being brill and stick with ur “no UV” policy! Clever clever you!💕👌🏼 I hope u can find the gloves if u don’t sew but if u do…..Watch for sales and hit 2nd hand stores! (Ohhhhhh….awesome pun!) LOL! Good luck doll & be healthy and happy! Life’s a gift so you do you & live your best life ♥️🙏🏻🥰 ..
