Same opinions, first time with startup route rejected by the Home Office because endorsement did a mistake and even pre-action protocol has not helped. Now rejected by endorsement body second time - and the reasons are based on opinions based on nothing. Trying to find better suited endorsement body - maybe you can something advice them by paid brief consultation? :)

It's painful mate! Being two international co-founders paid £2400 already. Approx 8k more for Visa. Damnit we could build and scale MVP in 10k😂

Very painful, sorry to hear! The policymakers are sadly prioritising short-term profits over the long-term contributions that overseas entrepreneurs make. How are things now? Feel free to message me if you ever need tips.

Please what happens if your business doesn't succeed after the 3year. What will be your faith after spending all that money

@@sohrabvazir we are just waiting for endorsement, current in development stage. Building in B2B hence focusing on longer test run. Mostly things are aligned not sure about the visa outcome though. To be honest a startup visa was one of the best options. Indeed limiting the endorsing bodies kind of affects the speed to market for genuine entrepreneurs

@@okekejane1931 hey, There is nothing called success or I would say it is overrated in a startup until you take an exit via acquisition or IPO. But to answer in very simple terms in alignment with a visa. Your "success" would be measured against your business plan, tractions and protections. So supposed you say after 2 years your company would make £10 million revenue and during second year check in you are 10k only they would withdraw the endorsement until you could prove the proper reason behind it. Also after 3 years you will be measured on 7 settlement criteria which you would find on home office website, if you meet atleast 2 of them you will be eligible for ILR, if not but still you business is progressing apply for endorsement again. This visa is extendable but mind that you will be under deep scan with extra scrutiny.

Hi Sohrab! You just articulating my pain and putting there in the world is liberating. I feel nice. Thank you! I am applying for the Innovator Founder this Oct. I agree with most of your points. Startup Visa did make logical sense as opposed to this new route where I am having to show market validation but then again I can't sell anything by law. Where I disagree with you is the cost. Oh man, the previous visa wasn't better! With unis and accelerators infesting the domain and charging £13000 to "join" their programme only after which they gave the endorsement letter. In a perfect world I would want to risk my limited resources quickly to test my idea quickly. And I think this new visa is the quickest way possible at least comparably. Your other point about VISA fees and health surcharge. Ya this one was total bullcrap. Come on. Overall, many thanks. I have your contact. I will reach out to you soon for collaborations.
