I'm a Sacramento born North Hollywood raised and moved back to Sacramento just a few months shy of my 18th birthday, and it kills me now how Sac rappers start getting hot and bounce out on Sac and move to L.A. or the Bay Area, when I moved back to Sac the Rap scene was just starting to take off, the whole time I was involved with the Sacramento music scene I would make trips to L.A., and NoHo like it was nothing, I was part of Black Market Records Fab 17(17 Street Teamers), we are known for making Brotha Lynch Hung, Mr. Doctor, X-Raided, Black Market Records, Triple Beam, etc... Famous, me and three other took the sh*t nation wide by taking a trip to N.Y. to visit some cousins of mine, we(the whole crew) took Lynch and the Label up and down the coast and across the country, most of us had connections in other cities across the country and so we'ed go to place were homies or friends lived in other places and would stay a few weeks, we would show up with backpacks full of cd's personal CD players good headphones and batteries, and would spend the whole time going to malls, concerts, shopping centers, amusement parks, etc... and would stop anyone that looked like the bump rap, and would hit them up, then we would let them hear some and then sell them a CD, if we ran out we would call Ced(CEO of Black Market) and tell him were out and he would have staff prepare boxes and would then overnight then to us, if we had lots of sales then he would contact the local promoter's where were at and schedule a concert, in any interview Ced gave he would always mention us because we're responsible for Brother Lynch Season of the Siccness selling a million copies, were the reason the whole country has heard of Lynch, X-Raided, Triple Beam, Mr Doctor, etc... I took Triple Beam to L.A. their first time cause I had business to deal with there and I brought them to introduce them to DJ QUIK and Rob "The Fonksta" Bacon, DJ Warrior, Felly Fel, people I've known for years plus I had friends to visit so I dragged them all over NoHo. Took P.C.O. their first time too, CML talked about Lankershim, I lived a couple blocks from Vineland & Magnolia, going west from Vineland on Magnolia the very next main street is Lankershim, I used to take the city bus to school on Lankershim, first I took the bus one direction to Hollywood, then in continuation school I took the bus the other direction ending up by L.A. Valley College, around the street I lived on there where at the time 6 famous studios now there are probably more.
