Shockingly bad installation video...Half of the cables dangle and stay exposed.

Thank you for your suggestion. The installation video is designed to help customers understand how to set up the product. Our installation team overlooked this issue, and we will be sure to address it in future videos. Thank you again for your feedback!

I just got mine setup and went for a ride today. Why is it splitting videos into 12 min, 1.19GB files? Looping has been turned off. At 1080p @ 60Hz the video is really really nice, but I'd like to be able to have one continuous file for each camera for the ride. Am I missing something?

Hello, this is determined by the data transfer rate. When both cameras are recording simultaneously, they generate a large amount of data, and the SD card needs a little time to store this data. If the video is not split, there may be several seconds of blank footage at some point in the video. Under continuous recording, dual cameras are more likely to encounter issues with excessive data transfer, leading to lost frames. To address this, the system is set to split the video at regular intervals.

Thats disappointing. One would think a specialized device like this would be able to handle 30MB/SEC combined for 2 cameras at 1080p 60fps. I really wanted to like this system but it seems the basic function of press a button/Record to file. Press a button to stop recording to file has been lost. I will go for an hour ride tomorrow and cobble together the 5 or so videos and hopefully the transitions are fluid, otherwise, unfortunately, I will have to remove and return it. Sorry. To be clear, I do like everything else about this camera and spent a good amount of time installing it and the end result is nice. Thanks for the reply.

@@americawhereareyou I think you are looking for a Insta, GoPro, or similar type of action camera. This is a Motorcycle dash cam designed around and for that reason alone.

@@rollyman3754fascinating. Where do they find components that can’t handle recording two feeds? Curious.

That was a terrible install. Dodgy as it gets for so many reasons. Looks like a very temporary set-up. No conduits, exposed wiring. The front camera position obstructing switch gear and having to reach around the front camera to use the control panel. The rear camera is totally exposed to debris off the wheel and sticking out too far. Will get caught on anyone walking past when the bike is parked.

Well, the install video is fine, as far as routing the cables, well you can't do a video on every machine out there. No disrespect meant here but each person should be able to figure this out on their machine. The problem I have with the video is the ACC connection you show. This is a failure waiting to happen and too many Innovv customers will watch this video and think it's the correct way. It IS NOT in any way to be done like that unless you want future electrical issues with that circuit and butt connector. Next problem with the video is it is not a complete install. A complete install should include the memory card install and STEP by STEP set up from scratch with the APP. Including the actual APP name so one can know the difference between the Innovv and third-party BS apps. From APP download and install on the phone to be used, connection of the phone to the camera, and proper setup once connected, then explain the features and how to use the APP. But then most electronics manufactures who provide an APP for their products fail on this instruction.

Why this way of ACC connection is a failure waiting to happen?

@@adamy2927 Glad you asked. The female part of the bullet connector has spring tension to allow a full 360-degree grip on the pin. Creating a current capability equal to the conductor. Inserting a wire and the pin into this deforms this part. So now you have lost the 360-degree connection and reduced its current carrying capability. This also creates gaps and allows dirt and moisture to get into the connector much easier and allows faster corrosion. Same with the vinyl insulation on the bullet connector. There are many more reasons but would have to go into greater detail, and I do not want to type an essay on the matter today. Just remember bullet connectors were not designed to be used this way. My profession of 30+ years is in electrical, so I have a decent amount of knowledge in this field. please don't do this.
