Innsbruck, Austria: Things To Do In The Capital City Of Tyrol [Travel Guide]

Looking to explore more Austria? Us, too! We'd been to Vienna, Linz, and Salzburg - but now it was time to check out the mountain city of Innsbruck. Known for having a famous "Golden Roof" in the historic Old Town, a ski jump, castles, and mountains to explore, we were really looking forward to our visit!
Spoiler Alert: It didn't disappoint! We ate amazing strudel, climbed the Stadtturm, saw the Inn River, Schloss Ambras, and much more!
So, this video is us exploring the city (in the nice and the rainy weather). We made sure to check off a number of things to do in Innsbruck, Austria so you can see it for yourself and/or plan for your visit, too!

I loved Vienna, love the Habsburg history so I want to see Innsbruck where Maximillian I Made it his capitol. Salzburg looks more beautiful, but Innsbruck has more Habsburg History, hoping to go soon when this horrible lockdown ends!!

Definitely! We really like all three cities you mention. Truthfully, we need to spend more time in Vienna. Salzburg is definitely pretty and more "grand" compared to Innsbruck if that makes sense but yeah the Habsburg history is in Innsbruck! Let us know what you think if/when you go!

November is the poorest month for tourism in Austria. Except you go skiing in the higher glacier areas.

Yeah, we know that now. Still had an enjoyable time in the city and we didn't go way out of our way to see Innsbruck so nothing lost. We'll be back!
