A crime must be punished, that's equity , however mitigating factors should be considered and punishment to be given take the same in consideration. This woman probably if she could have appealed upto the highest level with a good lawyer, maybe she could have been found guilty of manslaughter and not murder. Thus her sentence could probably have been less than 10 years while the daughter probably would have been set free. Where is fida and women activists on this issue? Mr president why not pardon this lady and her daughter on a humanitarian ground considering that she had to do what it takes to protect her child just as any real human being with love on her children would do.
