Date and time lang naman pala ang problema ng CCTV. Kasi ako may 8 CCTV cameras ako at minsan nare-refresh ang time and date pero recorded pa rin ang past 1 month bago ma-overwrite ang SD card. Regardless kung updated o hinde ang date ng CCTV cameras, basta makita lang dun sa video (kahit na anong date pa o oras ang lumabas sa CCTV) kung paano pinatay yung vice mayor, it will definitely help to solve the case.

Simple logic or explanation. If you save your messages on your phone, it uses storage space eventually fills up and slows down your device. If telcos would save the messages, it would require them to have more than yottabyte server. It is not feasible.

I'm pretty sure they can record those SMS contents IF and ONLY IF they want to. They know its not allowed and could incur a bigger problem for them against privacy acts or similar laws. It is simply not worth the risk considering these data is really not that useful to them. It is important to the government though, so if they want access to it, it is really possible if both consents.
