Never thought I'd be learning Russian from a puppet show, but thank you so much for these videos Sergey! My method for using these videos : Watch with KZbin Dual Subtitles Chrome extension, have Russian subtitles on top and English on the bottom. I watch the video and catch everything in the English subtitles. I rewatch still with both subtitles and pay attention just to Russian subtitles on top. I rewatch again but only with Russian subtitles showing. Then I rewatch the video with Dual Subtitles again and read the Russian sentences after Sergey says them pausing the video. Then finally I watch the video with without any subtitles.

So "afternoon" is literally "after lunch" in Russian? That´s cool. And the Russian word for "weekend" shares quite a few sounds with the German "Wochenende".

Yep, you are right :) And "выходные" literally means "exit days" :) Kind of like, put your life on pause and exit from the "rat race" 😉

В субботу днём пошла в музей естественной истории. Я увидела вясeлые обезьяны, серьёзного страуса, большого злого динoзавра, опасные дикие кошки, гигантского кита, дружелюбную черепаху. Узнала что у кита есть бедра, у желтой рыбы нет мозга, один вид крабов похож на паука, есть много видов дельфинов. Я увидела толстых тюленей, кости животных, длинного кальмара. Я узнала что Дарвин - знаменитый, известный ученый. Я узнала о плохих бактериях. Мне они не нравятся. В понедельник выходной. я буду больше отдыхать. Спасибо за епизод
