For those interested: The Snow Queen (Sneedronningen, 1844) is a fairy tale by the Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen. It is one of Andersen's longest fairy tales, and one of the most popular.

I love this style, the visuals are so helpful. I also like when you do voices and sound effects when telling stories, it really makes a difference and I can understand more.

В Буэнос-Айресе, Аргентина, у нас была марка мороженого «Лапландия». Как любопытно! Многие слова в испанском похожи, например, «carreta» Kapeta. Большое спасибо. Отличный способ учиться.

This was excellent. You are one of the best producers of comprehensible Russian on the internet. My only criticism of the puppets (Vasya & Peter) is that there is nothing to see that gives meaning to the story. Here it was very easy to guess unfamiliar words from the cues you were providing us.

@@InRussianFromAfar I will try to explain. My understanding (from watching Krashen and others) is that comprehensible input should be understandable without translation or subtitles (except from difficult verbs and concepts). I think this story (the Snow Queen) is an example where you do this extremely well. In slight contrast, in the story where Crocodile Vasya arrives in Russia and first meets Petya there are some minutes where Vasya and Petya where trying to decide what kind of animal the other one was and then what country each was from. During these minutes the visuals were just the puppets talking. Inserted pictures of the animals and countries these were talking about would make the content more comprehensible. I hope you take this comment in the spirit in which I intend it: as constructive criticism and not something negative. Your site is amazing. You are a very good story teller and the content you produce is funny and smart. I wish you every success.

There are some points where I as a learner on around level A2 (maybe passive understanding a bit higher depending on the topic) think, that it is higher than A2. You explain "easy" words like "house" with pictures and the harder ones come quite fast and without further explanation. For example the part where the snowqueen says the "spell" with the ice splinters. That's quite hard to understand for an A2 student. I absolutely appreciate though your effort in telling easy and very interesting stories with lots of useful language content although there are sometimes a few "specific" words that you might not necessarily need. But that's also what makes up a good story.
