The first city was definitely the 6912 since it gets you the second city faster, and makes your ratios more balanced. The ore is even more tradable than the wheat, too

I think slow playing is an absolutely valid strategy to win these kinds of games. If you take your 2 min every turn, you will really annoy and tilt the less patient players into misplaying. Also, asking for trades on every single 7 or knight is always good. If it works, great! You get a bonus card. Otherwise you still go +1 and block an enemy. A 22 card mono also helps of course. Low elo double plays are so common, its like these players can't predict it happening until its far too late!

It's a valid strategy to get other players to quit. I only do 1v1 now because of all the NB deals, whining in the chat and tilted players doing nonsense in 4 player. It's just not fun. Adding slow play on top of that makes it miserable.

Uhm mate just so you know you could’ve won in the turn with the mono by double road settle into orange road and then dropping one more road for 10P, still very nice man 🥰

Yeah if he had any one more card that wasn’t wood, he would’ve had enough to 4:1 the rest the way. Even one more ore on that turn secures it.

@@ThePhantomCatan I think he means very obvious situations like 20:28 where thats a 5 second turn that is city pop (very common combination of OWS cards) is milked for too long. Also you could have played a knight before that turn and stolen a card to guarantee yourself a city on 9 cards even with a 7. very basic stuff.
