INSANE 9 Run Inning leads ends with 1 Proud Mom

The 2024 Padres season added another astounding chapter Friday afternoon in Boston, when the first 9 batters who came to the plate in the top of the 5th scored. To add another layer of crazy to the cake, the last runner to score was Jackson Merrill, who had just hit his 11th HR of the season......this one to his mom.

I was there and that inning was so much fun! Also fyi the Citgo sign is a quarter mile away from home plate, it’s not actually in the ballpark
