To be fair that was 20 years ago and the market was way behind on MJ and Lebron was a new face that hadnt seen 10 finals yet and Kobe was still alive, his market blew up after the helicopter crash, no pun intended...

@@DadStrength81 We have certainly gone a long way. I remember 2010-12 (fresh graduate, first job) was when I was able to afford/willing to spend a couple hundred dollars on sports cards. MJ, Lebron, Kobe autos were available at the $200-300 price range. My only regret is I didn’t buy more. 😕

@@RickM23 my regret is that I've sold huge cards of those three players over the years. I pulled Lebron Rookie to 50 and an RPA that I sold for a thousand... Pulled a couple kobe auto redemption cards that I waited years to receive from Panini that I sold for embarrassing numbers. Don't get me started on the MJ cards I sold that I held from the 80s and 90s until around 2010.

NBA players can be hard to get to sign on card. But there is zero reason they couldn’t get her. She doesn’t make enough to blow them off like other stars. She’s one person who isn’t rich and you are charging $900. There is zero excuse for Topps!

There is atleast 100 sets at $900. That’s $90,000. They made a lot off of her and they could easily paid her 20k. I’m betting they threw her the minimum to get her to sign and did it by mail to keep their profits high.

If there is way higher paid NBA players signing on card then she should as well. Or don’t sell a luxury priced product you produced on the cheap!

The only college basketball or WNBA games I have ever watched fully was because of Caitlin Clark. Maybe it's all media hype (they're known to lie), but there is something about her that is captivating. It's crazy to see the amount of jealousy and hate coming from other players. I can understand media to an extent as they need to tell stories for views. Whether people want to believe it or not, she is the face of the WNBA, and the league and players benefit because of her.
