You go suburbs of a mid-western city and you can find houses like this for 350-500k. Fairly easily. Texas especially is known for this, but places like Utah, Idaho, Missouri, Iowa, etc you can find this same sort of thing.

Texas is known to have larger homes for great prices. My husband & I have been looking to build a 5+ bedroom home in houston and they range from 300-500,000. The homes we've looked at are also on an acre or more of land so you get quiet a bit for your money.

Believe it or not, a house that size costs less than a small 3 bedroom, 1bathroom in Aberdeen. We moved from Scotland to Houston and were blown away by how much house you get for your money. Our 2 bedroom apartment when we first moved was larger than our 3 bedroomed semi in Dundee. We now own a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom home that our old house would fit into 2 times over, our kitchen alone is the size of the entire downstairs of our Scottish house!! It's crazy.

I'm guessing this is a fairly average house in a nice upscale Texas neighborhood. The price is probably not that high tbh haha Texas has insanely cheap housing, especially when compared to Europe

It really depends on where in the US you go. If you want a LOT of house for your $$, you go mid-west. Anything east or west coast is going to cost you major $$$ for far less. I live in UT and you can easily get a home around this size for 400k in the suburbs up and down the city. There are cities in the mid-west where housing like this is even cheaper.
