What a good job, well done, not easy once the blockage is breached and you have to keep clearing the debris against the force of the water. Such a lot of debris. Thanks for posting.

That really is alot of water. Can't believe thus little dams hold back so much water. Beavers should join engineering company that builds dams. Got to be cheaper. Enjoyed video very much.

Peak outflow rate is about 150GPM based on single 20' culvert run. Every foot over 20' adds resistance of .05 on corrugated culvert. An enclosure can be easily constructed from sheep panel to prevent obstruction clogs. 1 panel would cover that opening.

When I like to try to figure out water flow, I try imagining a 55 gallon drum under the output, and guessing how long it would take to fill, given the speed and height of the flow and height. Guessing it's an 18" or 24" pipe. By the flow and speed, looks like it'd fill a 55g drum pretty quick, maybe a second or two, so maybe 25 ~ 50gal per second?

Lots of water, fun to watch. However, 1) the two screens weren't in sync. 2) no opening pan shot of the pond you were draining from. 3) no pan shot of the pond you were draining into. 4) no final shot of the emptied pond. Gotta give context and provide a beginning, middle and end. Post 10 always gives a shout to help him sync the videos.

The amount of water that went through the culvert is approximately equal to {(The area of the big lake) x ([water level in big lake before culvert opened] - [water level in big lake when culvert flow was minimum]}. To get the flow rate per minute through the culvert divide the result by the time between the culvert becoming free and the time that the big lake level was at its minumum in minutes.
